Goes on rant that front office executives do not know how to evaluate quarterbacks after he slipped to the 5th round. The last time I remember him doing the same was when the fins had the audacity to pass on Brady Quinn. How did that one work out?

I find them interesting but not convincing. Also, if the GMs obviously disagree with their rankings, some (especially Kiper) are too sensitive about it.You're reminding me of one of the main reasons that I don't take draft prognosticators seriously anymore and don't bother reading what they have to say.
Cool. - LOLKiper is being wheeled back into his coffin as we speak. 12 months in the freezer before we have to endure him again.
to be fair, his job isn't to 'ace the draft', it's to get attention. He's done that.I don't need to evoke Bill Tobin, do I? That was 1994, and it applies to Mel Kiper as much today as it did then.
With regards to draftniks themselves, I think we are talking about people that have one of the world's most useless jobs. They make guesses about football players. There is no accountability or responsibility in what they do. When was the last time Mel Kiper aced a draft? Never. And--God help us--he's still here.
It's 2025. Mel Kiper needs to hang it up. If ESPN do buy NFL Network and they combine the draft coverage, ESPN should force Mel to step aside and hand the keys to Daniel Jeremiah.
And no offense to Field Yates he seems like a decent guy but he has no business being one of the main draft analysts. He has no conviction in his assesment on players and is too afraid to disagree with Mel.
Old Mel gave us a c+for our draft.
Take a guess who got A+? It shouldn't surprise you.![]()
