He was hired to do a job...lead the offense. Sure Jimmy wanted to run the ball, but I think Kippy's job description included much more than to simply call Jimmy's plays. He could have adopted the philosophy while continually improving the offense. That's what the good coordinators do. He had zero creativity or imagination, if you couldn't see that how in the world are you able to see all of those trees?Dol-Fan Dupree said:He was hired to do a job. That was to run the exact offense Jimmy Johnson wanted. Fans blame him because they cannot see the forest from the trees.
Blue, no offense dude but that's kind of an ignorant comment. I didn't like Jimmie one bit when he was here. But how many superbowls did he win? I don't like the guy but you have to give him some credit for his time with Dallas.BlueFin said:Neither he nor Yimmie knew an "X" from an "O".

I think that was Yimmie being honest for once in his life.
I think Yimmie was a great motivator, a great wheeler dealer, he had some good moments as a talent evaluator, and he put together a nice organization in Dallas, but when it came to "X'S & O's", I think he left that to Norv Turner and his other coaches.
One of Yimmies biggest downfalls in Miami was the poor staff he assembled, look at the OC's we had under him.
Also, look at the poor decisions he made about offensive football in Miami.
