This guy can ball. He is a winner and I have a gut feeling he will be the 3rd best QB in this class when all is said and done. He has enough skills to go along with his ability to lead. I want him in round 2. Let's draft him a receiver in round 1.

I don't know thathe will be better...but I can imagine Blackmon in the 1st, and Cousins in the 2nd. That would not be too bad. We have 2 veteran QB that can start this coming season, and coach Joe can work with Cousins to get him ready to start next season.
Right now I see our options at QB:
1. Draft Tannehill at #8
2. trade back in the first round and draft Weeden in mid to late 1st Rnd.
3. Draft best player available at #8, and then draft Cousins in round 2.

I like Cousins in the 2nd to 3rd range over Tannehill at 8th overall.

Another second round pick on a QB! I'm not sure thats the way I would like to go about it.

Weeden remains the only, potentially available, NFL ready QB left in the draft.

If the Dolphins are going to compete at all this year, Weeden may be the only realistic option; unless of course, the great miracle were to somehow happen and the Dolphins work a deal with San Fran for Kap.

Where is Cousins expected to go? I have always seen anywhere from 3rd-4th.

after his workout it seems like he will be going somewhere in the 2nd round to maybe early 3rd. But If i am Ireland and the 2nd round come along and all highest rated QB's are gone, including Weeden, I will not gamble going into the 3rd round hopeing he is still there by the time we pick.

my vote is for B.J coleman or Kirk Cousins in the draft. But we're going to draft tannehill it's obvious =/

I disagree. Cousins has the experience of a 3 year starter and played in a pro style offense.

I posted this in another thread, but it's relevant to this topic, so i'll post it again:

My friend works/writes for a global sports statistics and information company in Chicago and also happens to be a die-hard MSU fan. He is usually very unbiased and calls it as he sees it. He's watched ever game Cousins has played in and I value his opinion in most sports related topics. I asked him what he thought of Kirk Cousins, and this was his opinion:

"Kirk Cousins is probably the most overrated quarterback in the draft this year, but he does have a lot of skill and ability. The problem is, the only time he can show those skills is when he has forever and a day to make a decision. When he's hurried, he's a below-average quarterback. He screwed Michigan State on numerous possessions because he can't handle pressure and makes terrible decisions. His stock is rising because he can show off his natural abilites without having to worry about defenders running at him or being in his face. He'll probably end up getting drafted in the second round or early third, but I think as a whole package he's a fifth-round draft pick. I'm glad I'm not the GM who makes the decision to draft him higher than that."

I'm not taking this as gospel, I'm just saying this is the opinion of a huge MSU fan who watches every game, and gets paid to watch sports for a living.

Cousins has the foot work of Roy Rodgers. He looks like he is riding a horse when he throws the ball in his videos. His feet must be 4 feet apart, really really awkward. No to this guy...

He seems to have some qualities that you look for in a professional QB while lacking some others. He certainly seems to be a good leader and has all the physical traits you want.
