Whoa!

Looks like ESPN isn't really run entirely by chimpanzees after all. :up:

This goes WAY beyond just being an improvement.

This calls for a REAL celebration. :chuckle:

LOL...Ah well....at least there is still PTI.

I liked Korn, but the color man in the booth always gets most criticism. Im not unhappy about the replacement bc I like Gruden, but I wish more of a chance was given to Korn.
 
Thank you Tony Kornhiezer!! I thank you because I will take the announcement at face value and believe that you are stepping down, and not forced out because you totally blow and have completely ruined the MNF broadcast.

I don't care for Gruden much, but as a replacement for TK, I will accept him as an upgrade.

Today is a good day for NFL fans.
 
Oh that's too bad, he'll be missed…. Which is my sarcastic way of saying good riddance to that annoying piece of crap. The utilization of remote control mute buttons on Monday nights across America is about to take a nosedive!
 
Yes, this is great news. I have no idea why Kornheiser was ever given that job. Gruden will probably be awesome in the booth, but I'd rather see him on the sidelines.
 
I like him on PTI but he wasn't needed on MNF. Hell he always made the point to act like he didn't even want the MNF job so what was it ESPN was thinking anyway?
 
Madden is retired, that's sad. I say bring in Frank Caliendo (Madden impersonator), Gruden, and bring Kornheiser back. It'd be like the three stooges! I can see Gruden now............pinching Frank's teets and poking Kornheiser in the eyes when they say something stupid.....LOL
 
by the way...anyone praising ESPN for making the move should stop. Korn left on his own, so espn are still idiots....lol
 
I don't care why Tony Kornheister is gone, all I care is that he IS gone!! The comedy relief gimick just plain sucked!!! After Al Micheals and Dan Deirdorf left, MNF just went downhill. After Madden left, it just plain SUCKED.

I'm not so sure I believe that. He has an ego the size of the red sea. I just don't see him leaving unless he was canned. Who knows? He'll never admit to it now that's for sure.

I'll bet Jaws & Sirico are downing some really EXPENSIVE bubbly today. :chuckle:

It's too bad Simms didn't get Madden's old job...

Thats true....he wouldnt admit it, and neither would ESPN bc he still has PTI on their channel.
