Robertson was scouted by the Dolphin DL coach prior to the draft. He is a huge guy who is considered the strongest player at Virginia Tech. I understand Lymon has some character issues, but is a very big wr (over 6-3). Anyone who knows anything about these guys please share.

According to Ourlads Scouting Services, Selwyn Lymon measured 6'3 3/4" and weighed 215 pounds. They have him running a 4.59 in the 40. Will search for more. He also has character issues according to Pro Football Weekly

...and we were this close to having a Lemon and Lymon on our roster at the same time!
 
Lymon was kicked off the Purdue team for being arrested a couple of times for drunk driving and getting into an altercation at a bar. He also was stabbed at one point. He was known for being a pretty good talent before all of his off the field stuff began.

Damn, the dude gets into some stuff, huh?

Don't know many details about the VT DT, other than the fact that I love VT defenders. Big, mean, and nasty. Hope this guy is the same.

Questions surrounding him is...

Heart & Work Ethic...

Things could change with the money. He will not get much and will have to work hard for several years to earn a big payday....IF he makes it past the first couple of cuts.

I love HOKIES....I just heard things about him that make me think twice about the long term play. That is why he is a free agent and not a draft pick. He had the talent to start at VA TECH. He just did not put forth the effort day in day out.

The Rams might have gotten a gem in Vince Hall. He is injured right now...knee injury. But Bud Foster said he was the best player he ever coached. Yeah he is smaller than most teams would like for a ILB...but he has what it takes to make impact plays...during crunch times.

Thanks for the info. You never know when the light is going to come on for some people. Getting an invite to an NFL camp would be a dream come true for so many people. Hopefully, these guys that get the chance will make something of their opportunity. Bill Parcells never called me. :lol:
 
Die Hard Hokie fan living in Blacksburg currently..... Robertson is big nasty defender with a great speed for his size... Like most Hokie DLineman he is aggressive in the trenches and is a workout monster.... Was Ironman in the last two years of spring practice and conditioning.... Never produced in big gams his junior year and was a disappointment in rotation his senior year.... he was talked about a lot his sophmore year as the next up and coming Hokie Dlineman and then just disappeared.... he is a above average special teamer though and will make a push for our practice squad.... Personally I think he just needs to get the fire he had when he was young at Tech.... if he can do that then we have ourselves a steal of UDFA
 
Robertson definately has got some size! Selwyn Lymon has got some talent, but if he couldn't behave up at Purdue, how is he going to handle South Beach?
