I just saw this i dont know it it has been up here is the link and some tidbits from it.

The rookie tailback, whom the Dolphins signed off the San Francisco 49ers practice squad on Tuesday, took a cross country red-eye flight to Ft. Lauderdale, arriving just in time to pass his physical, get fitted for his equipment, and participate in Wednesday's practice despite showing up 10 minutes late.

As it turns out, the coaches put him through a grinder, having the rookie go against the first-team defense for a number of repetitions. They also worked him out as a kickoff returner, during and after practice.

Sheets, who wasn't drafted, also had receptions totaling 814 yards and five touchdowns in his college career.

During the exhibition season he rushed for 177 yards on 39 carries (4.5 average) and scored three touchdowns for the 49ers.

Dolphins coach Tony Sparano described Sheets, who becomes the fourth tailback on the 53-man roster, as a player with "speed and good balance."

"The guy can finish runs and has pretty good hands, and is not afraid to block you," Sparano said.

Sheets

admitted South Florida's heat and humidity, plus his lack of rest, showed during Wednesday's practice.

Inside the locker room his teammates kept asking him if he was tired.

"The man was unbuckling his chin strap and taking off his helmet before he even finished his run," linebacker Channing Crowder joked.

Crowder then advised Sheets, who is 5-foot-11, 208 pounds, and ran a 4.47 40-time at the NFL combine, to keep his body hydrated.

"It's hot in San Fran, but it's not humid. I'd been on the practice squad and we really only work for three days on the field. We really don't do too much running, so you can get out of shake real fast on the practice squad," Sheets said. "Unfortunately I got out of playing shape.

The Dolphins apparently might not be done tinkering with the roster.

OH GOOD NEWS

Tailback Ricky Williams, who suffered an ankle injury against the Jets, participated in all of Wednesday's practice.

ENJOY

thx for the info, glad to see Ricky's ankle wasn't too serious as he was able to play through the whole game.

edit: you missed a pretty interesting tidbit from the article:

The Dolphins apparently might not be done tinkering with the roster.

Former UM tight end Buck Ortega, a three-year veteran who was recently released by the Saints, came in for a workout on Wednesday.

Ortega, the son of former Dolphins linebacker Ralph, spent a couple of weeks on the Dolphins' practice squad in 2007. He's played in 11 games, starting one for the Saints in 2008.
I guess if they sign him a lot would have to do with getting info on the upcoming Saints team.

I really do like the clips I've seen of Sheets. No idea if he has the total package necessary to supplement the loss of Cobbs, but I'm hoping. Not a big Hilliard fan.

He should make for a good kick and punt returner... (cross fingers)

I would love to see what he does as a KR too but as a PR they will stay with Bess. He has safe hands back there and makes good decisions.

From what I read he is a bit out of shape right now. Not real good on his part!

Phintim, he practiced with the 49ers, got the call from miami, took a red eye, got to miami at 5:00am, practice with miami at 11...mentally that can put a whoopin on anyone....

I bet he will so tired, he won't have to count sheets to fall asleep! He definitely won't be dancing in the Sheets!
