As you may know, Ricky Williams is the wildcat, but after Ronnie's season ending injury, Ricky became are primary back losing the title of Wildcat. The position needs to be filled and Miami has a player whos doing everything to try and fill the position. Today Sparano talked about how Kory Sheets is doing everything to try and fit that role. Sparano said Sheets had a real good practice last week He also mentioned Sheets is being considered to fill Ricky's Wildcat role. So, there you have it, it might not belong before the Wildcat has a new set of claws

Could be interesting, Sheets is supposed to be fast(faster than Ricky) and he might be able to do some damage on that Jet Sweep.

Can the man throw? been dying to see the Jet Sweep with a toss to an open receiver on the right hand side.

I think Ricky tried this once and it didnt work. But imo seeing how the defender reacts to the WC comming in motion and actually getting the ball, i would feel this would be open much more.

This is irrelevant, but I am curious- how do you know that particular play is the Jet Sweep? Was it ever in the paper, ever mentioned by Sporano/Henning, or do you just have Madden '10?

man for a second there i forgot.. i keep mistaking kory sheets for kory sperry. lol I was thinking no way kory sperry is faster than ricky

It took Ricky and Ronnie a while to learn all the plays that the W/C had to offer. Even if Sheets gets up to speed on the Ricky spot, I don't see Ricky changing over to Ronnie's spot in the W/C offense. While Ricky is a load to bring down once he hits the hole, he doesn't have the instant burst/cut ability that Ronnie had to have to be effective in option spot. If White could be effective running the ball, he could take the spot. But as of now, he's unreliable both running and passing out of the spot. I see us only using the formation on rare occasions (maybe 3-4 times a game at most).

I just worry about the timing...how Ricky was able to run by SO MANY TIMES without the snap coming too early or too late baffles me. The thing is, Ronnie was an infinitely better triggerman than Ricky. He caught the ball with his hands, out in front of him, so the fake to Ricky was right there in front of him. Ricky catches the snap not out in front, but basically in his gut.

They will have to work on this ad nauseum for Sparano to trust them with this. One bad exchange between a lousy triggerman and a rookie in motion could basically cost us a game (and the playoffs).

IMHO you won't see this. But he gave the word so teams would have to still prepare for it. The Phins won't run anything with a motion man (Wildcat), at least for another few weeks.

I really have no idea what it is called but I've seen other people here call it that so that's just what I assumed it was. I've never researched it and probably wouldn't even find out if I did, just going off of what fellow finheaven posters have said. You're 100% correct though... it is indeed irrelevant.

lol thats awesome.

Hopefully this is one of those 'diamond in the rough' type finds we have here. If not at least the team tried ;)
