Kris Jenkins

I'd take Crumpler off that list before anyone else. Jenkins would be nice too.

Hasn't Jenkins just broken down over the last few years? I don't think Carolina is in that bad a position financially to where they couldn't keep him if they wanted to, are they?

I'm always wary of DT's who are young and their team wants to get rid of them. Not HAS to get rid of them, but WANTS to.

338 3 time pro bowler and is 28. Heck Ya. I dont see the just releasing him but a low pic for him would be nice. I'd take him over Shaun Rogers (who a lot of people on here like)

Bring him in.

No. If you would read the story it says Jenkins was their best DL last year. The rest of the line is what fell off last year. Carolina don't have any money and will make the mistake of letting Kris go IMO. I say we jump at him and draft Chris Long. Alge would sure fix our TE problems too.

O.K. I've looked it up he missed the 2004 and 2005 seasons essentially.

In 2006 he had 41 tot tackles, 32 solo and 3 sacks.

In 2007 he had 38 tot tackles, 30 solo and 2.5 sacks.

Looking at this it would be hard to say his production had diminished all that much. Although why is being released? Cap purge? I didn't think Carolina was that strapped for cash.

I looked up his stats, his production hasn't declined that much in the last two years. It was 2004,2005 that he injured all the time.

Carolina is really strapped for $. They just signed Wharton (a mistake IMO) to a 6 year 36 million dollar contract and even after letting Dan Morgan and Mike Rucker go they will still have to franchise Jordan Gross because of there cap. They only paid Harris their SS to a 13 million dollar deal after he led the NFL in forced fumbles and recorded 70+ tackles and led the team in INT's. His agent said he really wanted to play here though.

id love kris jenkings and i am a maryland trep fan this guy would be such a great addition young and dominate but he has had a lot of injuries maybe he is healty now how games did he play last year?

Sucks to be them.

But we all know it feels, being right up against the cap every year.

Kris Jenkins would be a great pickup, but if he is released expect a bidding war.

$6.05 M 35 players on roster carolina's cap room before nay cuts. now that stinks cut before any cuts, miami is 35 million and has more players on there roster. if you look at how many guys they need for a full roster (53) and cosider they only have 6 million to spend on them, that is 18 player for 6 million dollars. ya there in cap hell right now.

WOW! I never knew they were in that much trouble. But I guess they have less to worry about than Washington; 45 players signed, and -20 in cap space. Lol!

ya how do you let your team get that far over the cap? especially since the cap room goes up every year.
