YAAAAAY!!! Now its off to NYC then skipping minicamps to go meet for his "acting" career... I hope its better acting than what he has been giving Miami.

I just put this in another thread, but here it is again.

Was listening to Mike and Mike in the morning and Greenberg made some good points, nothing new though but made me think even more that JT has nothing to feel sorry for. Football players have short careers. Even players who play the game for 13 years, really it's nothing. They're retired in their mid-30's and they're done doing what they're used to and they have to find something else. Jason Taylor is coming to the end of his career. He's got 4 more years TOPS and that puts him at 38 and no more football career. If he wants to take this opportunity and milk it as much as he can in order for his life after football to be better, then I'm f*$#ing fine with that. He's missing VOLUNTARY minicamps to look out after his future. You fans giving him crap for that are damn selfish and need to realize that for football players, there is life other than football. To us it's a game, to them it's their lives. How many retired players do you see losing everything once the big money stops coming in? These guys go through a relatively short football career and take all the beating and bruising and are left with all the injuries to show for it, but end up like any other joe financially. JT's smart is trying to avoid that. I'd be 100% okay with that and Parcells is being an *** if he won't understand that. If anybody should understand that, it's him.

JT doesnt care about winning the dance competition, he wants to get his face on TV so he can start making bad action movies ala. Under Siege 2 and Street Fighter

Hey, I dont feel bad for him and Im not being selfish.. I posted this yesterday:

And I (A paying fan) have been here longer than JT and endured more emotions from the 25-30 years I have been a dolphin fan than JT has the 13 years he has been a dolphin, and if it werent for me, or you, or everyone else buying NFL material and tickets JT wouldnt have a liveyhood. He wouldnt be making 7.5 million a year, driving his Bentley with a trunk that closes itself, living in his phat house, making his great livelyhood, therefore as long as he continues to draw phat paychecks driven by my money, he owes me (and you and all dolphin fans) more respect than what he is giving us as of late. I expect a more professional attitude from him until he leaves his profession. he got his 5 month vacation, time to go back to work.

And as far as him trying to find work after football.. Firstly, we made him rich so its not like his life is in jeopardy. what do you think would happen to you, or I if my boss came to us and said, "Hey, will you go ahead and attend this training seminar. I think it will be very helpful to you", and we replied, "Sorry boss but screw you, I cant because I am on Moster.com looking for a career after I am done with you."

Not to mention, Mike and Mike are a couple of jackasses

300 the sequel........I'm a big JT fan, but what in the *bleepity bleep* did he keep doing with his mouth last night!? Was that a nervous thing!? Am I the only one who noticed him doing it...someone help me out here!

No you are being selfish. You are expecting the man to sacrifice the opportunities to make his future better that he has now, to make football more enjoyable for you. He's not missing games, he's not missing real training camp, he's missing voluntary minicamp. That's hardly showing a lack of professionalism. You want lack of profesisonalism? Look up this guy Chad Johnson. Maybe Terrell Owens has some of that on his resume too. He's shown plenty of professionalism and loyalty to the Phins over the years, he owes us nothin more than what he's doing.

And let's be honest, at this point in a player's career, a lot of this sort of attitudes start flying around. Dan friggin Marino towards the end of his career had some rumblings that he'd be traded to the Vikings (I think it was them) and I'm sure a lot of the same feelings were goin on between the front office and Marino at the time. I was a little young at the time to remember, but my point is this stuff happens to everyone.

Mike and Mike are a bunch of jackasses, but even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Im not expecting him to sacrifice anything and again, I dont think I am being selfish, I am expecting him to do his job and help the franchise that made him who he is. Show a little more respect to the people who paid him.. You and I.. Its greatly unprofessional when while still having an obligation to your current career, you blow off your career to persue a career you havent even started yet.

Dan "friggin" marino? You cant compare Marino to taylor as Marino wasnt a Dolphin and released prior to him deciding on Minny, which he inevitably did not do.

Like I stated in my example which you must agree with since you have no rebuttle

K I guess I'll take your word for it. I thought there was trade talk involved but nevermind, no comparison there then. But are you going to tell me this doesn't happen at the end of players careers? How bout Favre? Strahan? Barber? These guys are big enough that we hear bout it, but I'm sure it happens more. It's just what happens when everybody is looking out for their own interest.

But still you can't talk about obligations when the word voluntary is plugged in front of the activities he's missing. He's missing voluntary minicamps to pursue opportunities that aren't going to be there forever, and surely this is the best time to take advantage of them.

NOW, if he retires and completely jets for those opportunities, or even simply starts missing games, I'd be pissed. Because then you do some serious damage to the franchise and that would be inexcusably selfish on his part.

i dont get how hes being selfish for missing voluntary mini camps. definitely people being selfish.

I got a glimpse of the finals.

Yamaguchi was pretty good. She deserved the victory. It is a little bit unfair that they allowed a profesional ice-dancer into the competition, though.
*****
JT went out with a bang, getting all perfect 10's on his last dance. Too bad for him that Yamaguchi had 3 consecutive dances with all perfect 10's. It's kind of hard to beat perfection.
