The players really played their guts out this game guys. They were hurting guys, putting their bodies out there. Scrapping. I saw a lot of effort.
The problem is, and has been, the goddamned coaching staff. These interim guys are still Philbin's guys... even Campbell. The stench is still there, albeit it's less of a stench there.
The OC was absolutely atrocious. If it weren't for Philly essentially losing the game on their own, we would've been blown out. Really, the offense did nothing, and when they did it's because of shear luck and dogged effort by the players.
The D? Without Suh and the d-line in general? We're toast. There was no creativity behind the front 4 at all. It was base the whole game. I know this is Philly, but you've got to mix it up; especially coming out of pauses in the game. Our backers are NOT great, so you've got to keep them aggressive at times with more blitzing; run-blitz more, something. I still saw way too much reactive play and we don't have the speed there to do that. So far, Anurumo does not impress me. It's still Coyle, only more dumbed down for the d-line.
Tannehill? A Philbin/Lazor product. Still not used correctly and is tasked with doing too much in general; which is why he can't audible. He takes a lot of the blame, but I won't blame him until I see him in a better system.
