Hope the title didn't mislead anyone, but I just have to say that if there is one team I could deal with being in a bidding war with is N.O. However, it is quite possible that the city of New Orleans can no longer support an NFL team. If the Saints were to move, it would most likely be to L.A. This would be much closer to home for Brees...I feel like all of this was to get our price up(which probably worked). I just can't see how he would be willing to go there and rebuild with the Saints...So I ask you..could the Saints be heading to L.A. w/Drew Brees? LETS HOPE NOT!

who knows, they could move to san antonio for all we know. its just speculation at this point. and no one knows if the saints will stay or move. but my question is, if brees has stated he wants to settle down, and find him home for many years to come, why would he go to a franchise that has the POSSIBILITY of moving to a different city. i would hope he see's how its unstable it is in N.O.

and on espn news they updated that brees said he will make his announcement today for sure

the nfl wont let them move after katrina.

plus their ticket sales are doing very well compared to last year.

plus they got a new coach too.

This is not a new idea. There has been talk for some time (since the late 90's) that Tom Benson would move the Saints. Things died down and then heated up again when L.A. and others put in a bid for their own NFL franchise. IMO, the Saints won't move. At the most, they will borrow the Alamodome in San Antonio (Tom Benson's home city) until either the Superdome is completed or a new arena is built. Having said that, aren't they still training and playing in Baton Rouge at LSU?

The Saints have already committed to staying in New Orleans at least through the 2010 season. And as previously mentioned, season ticket sales are higher right now than they were a year ago. I don't see any problems supporting the team.

The Superdome is going to be ready for the home opener on Sept. 24th. The only thing in question now is where the preseason games will be played.

Plus, isn't the Superdome supposed to be ready for the season opener?
The Saints are going to turn it around. They're not going to be just the same old Saints any longer.

Yep. Sept. 24th against the Falcons is the home opener and it will be in the Superdome.
