They have one thing in common coming out of college.

Both felt that many teams passed them up in the draft and made reference to making teams pay for overlooking them during draft time.

Lets hope Lorenzo has half the success with us that Thurman Thomas had with Buffalo.

Its good to play with that kind of chip on your shoulder.

is it just me, or are these expectations a tad high? I hope he's a good 3rd down back, a good change of pace and durable enough to spell ronnie, but hall of fame caliber?

Don't get me wrong... it would be nice, but c'mon

I appreciate the point you're making here and I really don't mean to rain on your parade, but isn't that a pretty common theme?

ill tell ya what i hope to see. i hope hes our marcus allen to our bo jackson this season. thats what i want. 2 years from now when tecmo bowl is recreated i want ronnie brown to be like bo, and booker to be like marcus since we dont have dan marino to clayton duper anymore :-D
but seriously even though i was serious about hte first part cause wouldnt another tecmo bowl be great with those two like the mention 2, but...hopefully we can emulate kc's offense. ronnie brown is a larry johnson type runner...same running style just ronnie carried ALOT less than LJ. trent green is still trent green (hopefully) our recievers are better, te worse. and hopefully ginn will be our dante at returner. but we have a lot better D. so we dont need booker to be the next thurman. maybe just a version of a lesser used warrick dunn would be good. if he turns into thermal awesome, but if ronnie turns into the next lj then we'll have a cap issue on hand

"arise as rodimus prime. optimus. this is the end of the road galvatron."

he will definitely give our O an added dimension, but hes not big enough to be full time

LoBook is big enough to carry a full load. Cam doesnt like his runningbacks to pound the ball anyways. That was easily seen when he fired the runningbacks coach and went with bobby.

LOL.

Booker will never be fit to have his name said in the same sentence as #34.

I really like the needed speed that L Booker brings to our offense. Thing that bothers me a bit is in college he seemed easy to bring down. We will try to get the ball to him more in open space IMO to keep him out of traffic. Exciting addition no doubt.

ASU i didnt think of it your way as far as a pounding running back. but i thought that trent pretty much ran the same offense in kc as he would in miami. i think you just have to realize what your rb has. LJ is great and pounds it, LT is just amazing. i think if ya get a rb that gets ya 4.5 a carry then ya make due with if he can pound it or break it outside. not to mention RB can catch we've just never utilized it. im too drunk too look up past reviews but they said his hands were better than most recievers in his draft.

and no booker will not be a #34. im from carolina so have to pull for the panthers too. i remember db's running away from ricky when he would break free. maybe eric matcalf would be a good hope for booker. if ginn turns out to be a steve smith santana moss type reciever then we are not gonna use him on returns anymore which would leave giving all the duties to booker. i would be happy for booker to be a metcalf type

Definitely. Everyone seems to say that he is far better than his buddy leon washington. If that is the case, we got ourselves a great change of pace back for Ronnie. If he shows more than that, we got ourselves a steal. I agree with you Finfang.

With all of the talk Cam is throwing out there about Ginn and his special teams abilities, Ginn will be our special teams guy for a while.

Not to mention, Cam is saying that he will slowly work Ginn into his WR role, but that special teams is his main focal point. Ginn will be our return man for several years.

As long as he plays with a chip and makes a positive impact is the point and what really matters

Its a good thing for us that he's got something to prove and goes out on Sunday to with that in mind..........makes him a player with that needed edge in this league.

Oddly enough I keep thinking of Ronnie Harmon who played for the Chargers. He was a RB who would come into the game in a third down situation and always be open. The guy would absolutely frustrate defenses. Booker has better speed than Harmon did and if we use him in that way we will get solid production. Lorenzo could become very important to this offense!
