La Canfora: If Bowles leaves, Kevin Coyle a candidate for DC

This a guess because I can't find anything regarding his philosophy on 3-4/4-3
He has worked under Zimmer in cincy & Andy Reid wanted to interview him last year, Mike brown would not give permission, both Zimmer & Reid are associated with the 4-3, so that would be my guess.

Philbin is adaptive in nature. He said in the presser he when answering about this that he wants a good tackling, attacking defense that is sound fundamentally. He also said that it doesnt matter which defense it is so I imagine we are staying with the 3-4. But dont expect alot of quick changes here coaching wise because Philbin said he is studying the entire roster and looking at tape of every game. I am pretty sure he will determine not to change much in the system.

I caught that as well, what I do know about Coyle that I thought was impressive his cincy teams over the last ten years rank 5th in interceptions in that time span.

I would like to see a 3-4 background of the next DC.
