I like Chad..i always have! He's no Brandon Marshall lets all get that straight(meaning sharing B.M selfishness)! However concerning were this team is right now I;m not sure if he would be a good addition.

I'm shocked. I mean, he's never shown interest in playing for his home team before. /sarcasm

Chad's skill set is perfect for this offense. I just hope he can learn it. He is a great route runner and if donald driver can still put up numbers in this offense at 36 then chad can too.

What is the league min for a veteran at his position?
I believe since he has been in the league 12 years, the minimum for him would be $925,000 for one year.

To me, if there is a free agent diva WR you are going to take a chance on, it would be Ochocinco. The guy is not a Brandon Marshall type player who fights his quarterback and gets in off the field incidents, two of which were attempts to murder him. He is not Plaxico out carrying a gun in public and spending time in jail. He is not like Owens who would destroy the mentality of the locker room. Ochocinco can be a pain, but more like a Channing Crowder mouth than any of those other guys.

A one year deal for Ochocinco with no guarantees of money if he doesn't make the 53? Why not?

I agree....the risk is so low. Worst case he doesn't make the roster. Best case we get a wr who feels he has something to prove and he mentors the younger guys. Either way, Miami comes out fine so take the chance and sign this guy. He is better than any other receiver available in my opinion.

That is why signing Ochocinco makes no sense to me. If Miami wants to add a veteran that can come in and mentor younger WRs while being able to contribute a little why not just sign Donald Driver who already is familiar with this type of offense?

Although Ochocinco has interest in being a Dolphin, I just don't see Ireland/Philbin having any interest in him being one.

He's probably still better than Legadu Naanee. After being cut by the Patriots and made to look like a dumb idiot who couldn't read and understand the playbook, he has something to prove. I would sign him to the minimum and see how he goes.

Well chad is younger and has always been more talented than driver. Also if it is true that chad is wanting to play in Miami, that helps. I dont think driver is asking to come play in miami.

Driver signed; http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...s-reportedly-agree-to-deal-with-donald-driver

Or did you mean IF they wanted to sign a WR to mentor, they would've signed Driver before he signed with GB?

Absolutely he has to be better than Naanee! Maybe he'd like some revenge with his home team on the ones who tried to make him look like an idiot.

I'm sure if he scored some TDs against them, we'd get to see some real interesting celebrations!

I oppose bringing in 85 for the same reasons I opposed bringing in Driver. we need to roll and grow with the guys we got. this isn't a contention season, and signing ocho cinco wouldn't change that.

I'd rather release Naanee and start hartline, bess, gates/moore/wallace and two rookies.
