Nice win for the lakers against the hated ones in the downtown hoop dojo called staples center. Even with Kwame Brown and Kobe Bryant out. With young guy Andrew Bynum looking like a stud at center and lamar odom coming in this year with more of a purpose to succeed. The lakers seem to be poised for a good run for a playoff spot in the west. Championship or bust.

Yeah Lamar looked great. This team will go as far as LAMAR does. He's the key. I hope this is that breakout year we have been waiting for.

GO LAKE SHOW!

It was a great game for LA.The Suns were up by like 19 points in the first quarter scoring 41 at the end of the 1st. I thought Maurice Evans and Rookie Jordan Farmar both played well also I agree with Amars Andrew looked very good .Bynum's working with Jabbar seem to paying off already.

Jordan Farmar 14 min 3 steal and he look so comfortable out on the floor running the team. I like the youth the lakers ( Bynum 19 and Farmar 19) have mixed in with the veterans of Kobe and Lamar. Best of all 16 of the first 20 games are home games. That will Kobe enough time to rest up without having a grueling road schedule. Vlad Radmonvich needs to get his right hand healthy he look awkward driving toward the hoop shooting left handed.

More proof that October/November NBA games are meaningless for most teams..

Suns losing to the Kobe-less Lakers? Come on..........

But still, from what I saw after getting back from the dreadful Heat game last night.. the Lakers looked very impressive. Lamar Odom was an absolute beast, and this Andrew Bynum kid definitely has a bright future.. how bright in the near future? I hope extremely bright, because he's a free agent and I could use another solid big in a few of my fantasy leagues!

I agree that Lamar Odom is the key to the Lakers' success. He had a dominating performance last night. I even forgot that Kobe was on that team.

If you keep Lamar Odom this involved in the game, it will keep the pressure off of Kobe Bryant, then this team is going to advance from last year's performance.

Yes.. I remember Kobe making sure that Odom was extremely involved in the first few games of the Lakers/Suns series. That's the main reason why they were up 3-1. Kobe went back to his old self though, and control of the series was loss. If Kobe, Odom, & the Lakers can play TEAM BASKETBALL like they did in those three games in that series, then they'll be a much improved team. Andrew Bynum's development would also make a significant difference.

They should be another fun team to watch, especially if Bynum continues to progress..

The Suns team doesnt look as good as I predicted. Amare Stoudmire something must be really wrong because he's been out for more then a year and only played 11 min. Even during the summer games everyone was raving that he was going to be the starting center then he didnt even play because of the knees. Not even Willis Mcgahee was out that long and his injury was devastating. i think there something more regarding the microfacture injury he may never recover. Also talk about gaining weight Boris Diaw looks like he gained 100lbs over night. I guess that what happens when you get a 50 Million dollars contract

That would be terrible if Amare never got back to form, just awful. Yeah Bynum might really work...and to think they were considering having him start in the D league. The only reason he's really playin is because of the injuries the Kwame and Mihm
