Lamar Gordon/Eagles talk

They mentioned a conditional pick. I'd take a 5th rounder w/ escalation to 3rd if he lights it up. Lamar actually looked really good last night in his few touches against Atlanta. He showed determination to get extra yards on each play. (Still think he could be a beast if he ever pulls it all together...)
 
He's probably only worth a 7th, but the Eagles should remember how badly they took us for Feeley and cut us a break. ;)
 
Why not keep him for a few more weeks and give him a few more touches during the season while Ricky relaxes? It's not like we couldn't do much worse than a 6th rounder for our troubles.

I don't think so.....the final cut is tomorrow at 5pm. Even if they make the trade right now....how would they evaluate him further and decide to cut him by 5pm tomorrow. If he's traded, he makes the roster, guaranteed.

The condition would likely be based off of yardage (hopefully a low figure) or % of offensive snaps played. I think we may see a 7th that could escalate to a 5th if he rushes for about 300-400 yards.
 
Whatever they offer.......take it. We don't need him.

I mis-spoke. I meant they he would have to convince them not to outright cut him (even after a trade)! He hasn't actually showed any great skills yet, has he?

Great skills?? No. Adequate skills?? ummmm......no.

I would take anything that any team is offering before the final cut.

- Trade up 2 spots in the 7th round next year?? Done.

- The bathroom attendant you were going to fire any way for smoking weed in the third stall?? Deal! :D

Not disagreeing with you. I'm only saying that the conditional trade might not hold up if he gets cut, once they realize he sucks.
 
Sorry but I wouldn't trade him to Philly for a 7th. We have some leverage over them. If he is cut no way he makes it to them on the waiver wire. They should have to give at least a 6th and maybe a conditional 6th that could move to a 5th. If they want Gordon then a 5th or 6th for a backup RB is a steal! How many teams would give a 5th or 6th for a #2 RB who is only a play away from carrying the load. If Philly wants to go cheap and risk their SB chances let them - hell they have 12 mil in cap space! They won't pay their starter and if they want to go cheap on their backup then great - at some point it will bite them in the you know where.

He is a # 4 or 5 RB on our team.
