277 yards and 5.7 a carry is amongst league's best. (YPC minimum 40 attempts)

I think he's hitting holes better and running through some contact too. Improved offensive line has helped. Credit Coach Benton.

Miller has, looked better this year, I still can't wait for Moreno back tho

Funny how the run game works when you get a RB and O-line that fit the scheme.

I think is a credit to the O-line. Miller has done a great job stepping up, certainly not trying to take anything away from him. However the O-line is giving him good holes and he has always had incredible burst. Thats why you see him hitting these 15-20 yard runs. His burst is ridiculous, his problems has always been vision and getting yards after contact…which IMO he still isn't great at but at least he's trying to improve. Offense still definitely needs Moreno back though…he's a perfect fit for this offense.

Weird I thought our line was going to be good at pass blocking but bad at run blocking.

Needs to hold on to the damn ball.

He's #1 in goal line fumbles. That has to change immediately.

Aside from that, he has looked better this year. I like how he takes on contact, but he could still run around a tackler instead of trying to plow over them, especially when he gets to the 2nd level.

Miller has played well, as had DT. The OL is better in run blocking, and giving the RB's some places to run. Overall, I think they have been around average, and should improve with Pouncey. The run game has been a pleasant surprise.

I have to re-watch the Miller fumble. Was it trying to give extra effort to score or, being careless in protecting the ball?

Give him credit, he looked awful against Buffalo when Moreno got hurt but he's running tougher. His vision still isn't great (there were a few times where he had open space if he cutback at the line. But the last 2 weeks he wasn't going down at first contact.

That is the one thing i noticed, once he gets to the second level, rather than trying to put a move on the guy he just puts his head down and tries to go through him. This is great when going through the line, but with his speed it would be nice to see him try to go by that guy and go all the way.

Dolphins are also 5th in the league in rushing yards per game at 142.2
Last year we ran for 90 yards per game and were 26th,
What a huge improvement.

Another issue last year was we didn't try to run. Yeah the system and line was awful and we got stopped A LOT, but we also had a tendency to just stop running.

As one who has been critical of Miller, I need to step up and give him props. I have been very pleased with his effort these last two games. I don't know what happened - whether it is the OL or not - but, I hope he keeps it up. The best thing that could happen for us is to have a legitimate 1 - 2 punch (Moreno/ Miller) at RB. If our backs can run roughshod over the DL it will take pressure off of Tannehill and help keep the play-action option open, which in my book is always a good thing! :-)

Pass for show, run for dough!
