I know it is only one game so I wanted to open this for discussion. Does LaMike warrant a roster spot going forward? Would it be more beneficial to have Gray in the backfield to help be a change of pace back, help in short yardage game, and help balance the offense going forward. Also with Sims hurt would Gray be a nice addition if he has a grasp of the playbook? Thoughts?

Gray. Easily. We need a tough, short yardage back. We DON'T need a mediocre kick returner with terrible ball security who gets into fights with our best player.

Yes please. LaMike brings nothing of significance on gamedays. I dont know much about Grey but if he's anything like he played at NE he should be the #1 back instead of Miller and not just change if pace.

What orifice are you speaking from? Gray had ONE career game for NE and was average the rest of the year. He was so valuable that Belichek made him inactive for the SB.

I just want lamike gone, jonas or not.

I always dug Gray's running style. Keep Landry on returns (like he even got touched on that one) and drop another position for a 3rd TE. Gray on short runs or change of pace could be nice. LaMike's time in MIA should be short lived

Who did he get into a fight with

I think LaMike James is on the way out.

Lamar Miller: primary RB
Jonas Gray: short yardage RB / backup early down RB
Damien Williams: 3rd down / pass-catching RB

Here he goes...

He got more than 10 carries only 4 times last year. In 3 out of 4 he averaged more than 5 YPC, and averaged 4.6 YPC over the course of the season. Belichek is notorious for screwing around with his rotations. Gray is a talented RB and we desperately need a guy like him down near the goalline or in short yardage situations.
