I am trying to figure out why we should not pick him up. Yeah, he is 32 and may not perform as well as he did in 05 for us- But so what? He would be a nice addition and someone we can fall back on if one of our safties do not work out.
[mod] Please do not circumvent the profanity filter. [/mod] If anyone can come up with a good reason why we wouldn't consider it let me know.

hopefully our secondary has no need for shulters, i am just saying what if. it would be nice to have Lance around in case one of them went down or turned out to be a bum...

There's other players that could potentially be out there (Pete Kendall) that we could use those dollars on, rather than a 5th safety (Bell, Hill, Tillman, Worrell).

I prefer to see the Dolphins go younger in the secondary. I also would like to see Darwin Walker end up as a Fin along with Pete Kendall with the money we just freed up with Daunte being cut!

a good case last year but not this year we need to get a lot younger on defense and he really wasnt that good in 05 what d he have 4 pics and one came against a garbage game against brady and the pats that was a meaningless game and this guy is really slow he got burned by not so good tight ends (doug jolley)jets so he would never be able to cover any of the patroits wr this year stick a fork in it hes done

I don't know if Schulters is the answer, but anyone who feels comfortable w/ Travares Tillman as our top back-up is blindly optimistic or flat out crazy. That guy is terrible and Worrel is mainly a special teamer. We're in trouble if anything happens to Hill or Bell. There are other vet safeties out there besides Schulters as well-- Parrish, Griffith, etc... Not sure who would have gas left in the tank but it wouldn't hurt to work em out.

There may be a reason why he is still out there...

Maybe we have better talent in our team right now...

I would feel more comfortable with someone like Schulters or Sammy Knight as our backup. They both may be slow and old but they both have starting experience and Sammy Knight is a playmaker.

Sammy USED TO BE a playmaker. They are both to old for OUR team.

Mueller and Cam want YOUTH and Speed. That leaves both of them out.
We have got to move on from all these guys that are cast offs from other teams.
Eventually, someone on here is going to post a .....' LETS SIGN DANTE CPEP' thread. It never fails.

Without the Daunte dead money...look for the Fins to sign somebody real soon!!:D

Thank you. Personally I'm surprised no one wants to re-sign the Blackwood brothers. They were playmakers at one time too.

When you are talking back-up, an aged experienced Pro is what we now. If we want to win now. Going with young back-ups is looking toward next year...

Secondaries aren't like being a QB. They need to cover people. If you want veteran backups, get relatively young veteran backups. All guys like Knight and Schulters are is another year slower.

True, But slower is only worse if you are talking about starting a whole year. He would be last Safety. He might, at most, be expected to start a game or two. Might get in a few plays in dime coverage each of the other games. I'll take an experience back-up in those kinds of stints...
