The stadiums capacity for home games will be reduced to about 62,000 this season for the Hurricane home games. The four upper deck corners of the stadium will be covered with a tarp. No word yet if any designs will be present on the tarp. Even with portions of the upper deck covered, I don't expect any game....even the Oklahoma game....to sell out.

Next step: Tailgating hours...

Just thought I'd pass this information along.

I wonder if they'll put retired numbers on the tarp, or the years of their national titles.

Kind of like the Oakland A's do for home games.

We had mentioned to Jim Frevola about putting the U or the Ibis on the corners and banners of the National Title years around the stadium where the Dolphins currently list Ring of Honor and retired players.

That's interesting, and its a good move. I think they should close even more seats. Maybe they should also cover some parts of the upper endzones. This is a good move as it will mean a more intimate atmosphere. And is there any way they could close some sections for some games, but have them open for others?

And do you think I could just walk up on gameday on the Oklahoma game and get the $19 tickets? Or should I buy now just in case we get off to a really hot start and tickets become a hot ticket?

Because its pretty tough to get my dad to buy tickets to a game 3 months away.

You can probably walk right up and grab a ticket to the game. Then again, who knows. If you want to hold off go for it. I can always find you a ticket BUT it'll probably be a club level ticket for about $125 lol. Totally worth it though. Club is where it's at.

Chances of my dad forking up $375 for 3 tickets to ONE game when he can't name ONE player on the team are slim to none. Chances of him forking up $19/ticket are at 50%. I'll make him watch the first games and hopefully he catches on. We went to a couple College Football Games, FIU played, but we got free tickets, so he took me.

Im the only son that has to convince his dad to take him to the game in the whole world. Its usually the opposite.

Dolphins tickets are the only thing but I have to sell some to convince him, since there's no way he would let me if I didnt get my money back. I have never payed for Marlins seats, pay $7/game for a lower level Panthers seat or get them for free, and Heat tickets are mostly free.

We'll see.

I either go with some friends who pay for me for some reason, I've won a few contests on the Heat site which a 2 year old could've won, or I've gotten them from my dad's job.

Marlins games I use some voucher I can PM you about if youre interested, and Panthers its the same as Marlins.
