Due to the recent developements with Landry,Gibson, Matthews and Hartline possibly being a cap casualty we have one wideout left. Im sure Hazel gets a chance but then what? Draft Kevin White? Sign a couple free agents? Give me 4 reasonable options:thanks:

I dont think I am...Wallace, Gibson and Matthews are goners...Hartline is way overpaid. I guess we draft two/sign two Fas

I think we will cut Wallace and Mathews. Gibson could be gone as well. If that is the case, we will should restructure Hartline to a deal that is more in line with his abilities and then draft a #1 WR with good size, speed and hands. If White is there at 14, we MUST go after him. Even as a Rookie, he will get double-covered and leave Landry and whoever else in single coverage.

We also need to do something at TE. I like both Clay and Sims. But we need an elite QB's TE, like a Graham, Gronk, Thomas kind of player. If we find one of those, then I'm okay with letting Clay go.

I don't know much about cap but I think we have Landry, Hartline, and Gibson on the roster next year. Wallace's actions won't be tolerated so he is pretty gone. Shame too. Until yesterday I was pleased how he was fighting more and seemingly growing his route tree

So if we cut Gibson, Hartline, and Wallace we have over 15 million in dead cap space to them. Create 3 more holes, no real cap room to fill them, and still need guard*2, LB*3, cb*2, safety*2, DT*2 or 3, and a lot more depth players.

We are not cutting Wallace, stop wasting your time. He got heated and emotional and became unprofessional for a meaningless game.

There's no way we are taking that hit and then spending to replace it with quality. The lame duck coach might feel queasy but he knows he is better with Wallace than without him. His best chance for a new contract is to add to Wallace and Landry.

The team wouldn't have told Jeff Darlington what the team told Jeff Darlington if they weren't looking at moving him.

Maybe they release him (wallace) or maybe they trade him but he's seen his last days in aqua im pretty sure.

Wallace will be back, hartline gone...Good thing with the loss yesterday is: I expect White or Parker to be there at 14

See Philbins presser....Wallace ain't going anywhere but on a Miami practice field and weight room.

I put stock in Barry. All the other writers are less knowledgeable than the posters here on finheaven.

I am assuming MW will be back.

However, just throwing this out there: Even for those of us who want him back... would you be willing to take a deal equivalent to what Chicago gave us for Brandon Marshall in trade for him?

I'd be tempted.

I didnt see it...is he coming back for sure you think?

Id definitely sign Cris Carters kid then and get rid of Matthews/Hartline. Hes a free agent from put up good numbers in CFL and has a little size. Wallace/Landry/Carter is a good start

Please, let's go back to the time where Hartline was the 1 WR and the offense ran through him.

Team was so explosive back then.

Oh, wait...

Seriously, if Hartline is the 2 WR again, and Clay is the 1 TE, it's like giving up on the season. That's how strongly I feel, sorry.

Signing Hartline to that contract stuck a horrible mediocre plug in that WR spot for three years so far. It's fatal to sign such low-level skill players to roster spots. Because it gives an illusion of having filled a spot, and yet all you've done for five years is ensure that higher upside players do not make the roster, because "It's not the best 53 right now," or something like that.

Philbin is really, really challenged on acquiring talent. LBs are his chosen, hand picked stuff. WRs, same. TEs, same. DBs, same. OL, same!

All Philbin guys. His fingerprints all over the situations at LB, WR, TE, DB and OL.
