Apparently the original source is a gossip site: https://twitter.com/fameolousent So who knows, but Slater does try to scoop things often so if there weren't some truth to it I don't know if he would have posted it.
If Landry did batter his girlfriend, that really changes my opinion of him and his role on the team. People didn't want a kneeler on the team, domestic abusers are far worse...

sounds like an avaricious family's attempt at a money grab.. watch for Gloria Allred or her daughter Lisa to sniff the Benjamin$ out and show up representing her.
Mother of his child works well imo. Babymother just sounds so unprofessional.
