For the 3rd or 4th time this year he has had a costly 15 yard penalty for something so stupid and avoidable.

I get he is emotional and that do his strength. He plays angry. Fine. However he really need to learn how to turn the other cheek and how to keep his emotions channelled in the right direction.

Right now it is killing us.
 
I admire Landry's fire, but it needs to be controlled. Too bad we don't have a leader on offense to keep him in check.
 
Too bad Marino can't get that through Tanny's head. Tanny has been here for 4 years so one would think he would take more control on offense.
 
That was an ugly penalty... You could tell he was riled up and thought the other guy was pulling him around so he "retaliated" in his mind when he needed to. But you know, I get tired of all the late hit on the qb flags we got / get a lot, whereas Tannehill is taking hit after hit after hit and we almost never hear that one..
 
He's gone undisciplined all year. Coaches shot themselves in the foot for letting Landry go unleashed. I understand they want his energy to feed the other players but you have curtail that energy when it becomes a nuisance. I blame the coaches and Landry but I am done defending Landry's behavior, he's toed the line all year and should have been flagged more but got away with it a few times. Bottle it up or ride the pine as far as I am concerned.
 
I don't know what game you guys were watching, but lack of pass defense lost this game.
We scored 24 points, that should be enough if you have a mediocre defense.
This pass defense is horrible.

Hmmm... you don't think having guards that can actually block from time to time or defensive personnel that can put pressure on the QB or defend the middle of the field would help?

This team wouldn't be in a position where a penalty like that would hurt if the players that can't play a lick would stop getting the team in a hole to begin with.

Landry makes lots of plays for this team. While nobody wants to see him continue to get penalties like this, a lot of it has to do with the frustration of other players not carrying weight.

In short, Landry should be quite low in the list of players that should be called out for underperforming or causing this team to lose.
 
Landry is being used entirely wrong
Dink and dunk and no chunk plays. Need more of the one Tannehill missed...enough with the 1 yd pass completions. Also, need to use Miller the home run hitter more as well, he is the one player on o that has crazy speed.

NO. I have no problem with Landry's Fire. He is young he will learn from his mistakes. Just wish we had more players with his intensity and desire to excel.
 
There is a way to have that energy and fire in a positive way (see Knowshon) and not hurt your team in the process. The 15 yard penalties because he can't keep his anger in check is a major issue. It doesn't matter if you make positive yards if you have them negated by a 15 yard penalty after the play.

Spot on.

And as far as some fans blaming coaches, you can bet they do address that. But sometimes, players dont get it. A coach cant read a players mind and know he is about to throw a punch and run out on the field and stop him. I dont think its as big an issue as some are making it out to be. He hasnt been ejected from games or fined. It doesnt happen in every game as some think it has. But does ANYONE in their right mind think campbell didnt ream him last night or this morning for that? Come on.
