The injuries to Scherff's leg in college is a concern so I give the nod to Shelton. With Shelton, our Dline would be formidable.
With Scherrf, we would have a dominant left side with Albert/ Scherrf
Cant go wrong either way. Both of those guys will be Pro bowl players IMHO.
DGB looks like a Brandon Marshall type player, hopefully he can stay out of trouble. Not a Philbin player, but I could see Hickenbaum adding him to the team. Tall, physical and great hands complimenting Stills speed and Landry's toughness and gritty play.
Carter and Amos provide some talent to the secondary. They could step up this year if the previous guys do not improve. They have the measurables. Good value.
Jones is a tacking machine. He should be running free and clean. I like his toughness.
Donnal played at Iowa and was over shadowed by Scherrf. He was over looked. We could end up with bookends.
Shead is a mean and nasty dude that should lose about 25 pounds to improve his conditioning and movement.
I am no expert like some of you but this is fun. It is like going to the horse track without race history and score card.

1. Danny Shelton - DT / Brandon Scherff - OG
2. Dorial Green-Beckham- WR
4. Alex Carter - DB
5. Adrian Amos - FS
5. Taiwan Jones - ILB
6. Andrew Donnal - OT
7. Adam Shead - OG

I didn't know about Scherffs injury, but I mentioned in another thread I think he will be a highly injury prone player similar to Jake Long.

Whatever these guys are doing (most likely tons of steroids) to get as big and strong as they are, right out of college, is not normal, and is not good for the joints and ligaments. Unlike muscles, ligaments can't keep up with that kind of wear and tear.

IMO that's exactly what were seeing with Clowney too.

I will say this. Initially, before the combine and all the workouts, I thought there were more ZBS fits on the O-line in this draft. Now I realize it's slim pickins. There aren't many athletic O-lineman in this draft. Last years draft had two outstanding prospects for the ZBS in Zach Martin and Joel Bitonio who's combine measurables looked like this:

Zach MartinJoel Bitonio
40-yard4.97
Reps 2252922
Vert28.032.0
Broad Jump8' 10"9' 6"
20-yard shuttle4.594.44
3-Cone7.657.37

There are 10 O-lineman with a 4.60 time or better in the 20-yard shuttle and there are 11 O-lineman with a 7.68 3-cone time or better...many of which are OTs. Miami needs to be very cautious about how they approach the draft at Guard. They'll probably have to overdraft someone to ensure they get him and the fact that we don't have a 3rd, which would have been an ideal spot to grab one of these guys, makes it difficult. So while everyone is comparing Stills to every other projected 3rd round WR they fail to realize that we could have grabbed a WR in the 2nd and used the 3rd for a Guard.

totally agree very slim pickings in this draft... and the talent drop off after the first round and into the second round at OG really drops off.... and you have to really take notice too is that most of the top OG picks are actually OTs being converted to OG. If we dont draft an OG first two rounds, it might be tough getting a guy that can definitely jump in and play.

I agree about the drop off. After round 2, slim pickings is right.
In the middle rounds, Mark Glowinski might be a guy that could work in the ZBS.
I was tempted put him in at 5a, but Amos looked like a better player at that spot.
Snead is a bulldozer, but he is country strong and if his conditioning was improved, might be a player in year 2-3.
So what do you think about my selections? Taiwan Jones. Could he be effective behind our dline? Not an elite athlete but productive in college.

What makes you say that?

He may not even last until 14. Everyone has their favorites. I think making our dline dominant is a priority.
We have not been able to stop the run. It starts up front. Getting after Brady and stopping the Bills and Jets running attacks should be a priority.
IMHO, we cannot go wrong with either Shelton or Scherrf.
