Here is the list I came up with last week and tweaked today.....All of it is probably not doable, but all we have left is hope and speculation...
Focusing on solidifying the oline and run defense should be priority #1. Franklin and Iupati are huge gets.
Drafting Drango and Shead will allow some of the older OL Vets and their injuries and salaries to depart. Ultimately I see James at LT and Drango at RT, jettisoning Albert and his salary down the road.
Shead can be brought along slowly and eventually replace the FA guards that we will have to acquire to solidify the oline in 2016 or in case we cannot sign both OG's.
Kendricks looks like a player no matter where he lines up. Time to spend a top pick at LB. You get what you pay for.
Hello DaVonte Parker...goodbye Wallace
Dargon and Swan get a chance to start, but if not ready groom for year 2016
Mannion and Gardner...Moore has to go because of his salary. Both of these QB's have some talent. They have different skills sets, but both effective.RT is the starter, but prepare for the eventual injury or contract dispute down the road.
Bring in some FA kickers to challenge Sturgis. I like kickers that have some size and played at cold weather schools.
Free agents...find a way to sign them (Current high dollar/mid level dead wood Fins players must go that are not earning their money..Moore, Wallace, Garner, etc, etc)
OG Mike Iupati
DT Nick Fairley
OG Orlando Franklin
These 3 players would help significantly. Having vets Iupati and Franklin would solidify the oline.
Fairley would add some impact on the dline.
This would allow the draft to address ILB, OLB, CB, Safety and WR
2015 Draft Picks (very early, but have to start somewhere..)
1. DaVonte Parker WR
2. Eric Kendricks ILB
3. Spencer Drango OT
4. Eric Dargan SS
5. Adam Shead OG
6. Damian Swan CB
7. Sean Mannion QB
FA. Devin Gardner QB Prospect
FA. Kyle Brindza K
