No thanks to Landry.
However the Fins still need to address the S issue.
As big as a problem ILB was for the Fins, once Delmas went down at FS the wheels really fell of the defense.
When Jones was out and the starting safeties were Delmas and Wilson opposing offenses averaged 24.5 points per game.
When Jones and Delmas were the starting safeties opposing offenses only averaged 19.6 points per game.
When Jones and Wilson were starting safeties opposing offenses averaged a whopping 38.7 points per game.
As much as I think it's a good idea to bring Delmas back the Fins need to bring back in a better backup, because with Delmas' injury history, Wilson just doesn't cut it at St. Who that is, I have no idea as I haven't dug into S prospects or FA's yet. Do they address it in the draft or do they pick up a 2nd or 3rd tier FA S who excels at special teams to help? I really wish Michael Thomas wouldn't have gotten hurt last year so the FO would know what they have in him.
Oh well, just another hole of Ireland's that Hickey has to fill.
