That list is BS. Butkus, Deacon Jones, Mean Joe Greene, Csonka, Lott, Dick "Night Train" Lane, sure all of those belong there. But Larry Allen???? Heck, I'd put Conrad Dobler over Larry Allen. How any list like that could exclude Jack Lambert is beyond me, even the announcers were surprised on that one. Typical spread the wealth around list ... 50% merit and 50% ratings booster .... blech.
I'm also shocked they had no QB's ... Marino and Elway had to scare defenses in the 4th quarter.
Good to see Csonka on that list, totally deserved it, but I really think the list itself is lacking.
As far as I know yes. I remember I was appalled (just no other word for it). I remember I kept looking at my father saying, "how, how can that be possible ? That's impossible !"Is Zonk still the only running back to get a personal foul called against him while running with the ball? I still remember that run he did against Buffalo when the DB made the mistake of coming in too high and Zonk hit him with a forearm shiver.
...the "assassin"...Oakland Raiders Jack Tatum! Like they mentioned Jack Lambert too.Denver's Steve Atwater...anybody remember that hit he put on the Nigerian Nightmare Christain Okoye?

btw...and NOT to be put in the same catagory, but I saw many CB's,SS's,FS's have the look of fear in their eyes on ocassion when one Daniel Constantine Marino would drop back to pass.
