Last Night was a learning curve.

Nobody stops TE's. Nobody. Name me one team who can stop a TE? Thats why TE's are great chess pieces. Even if you stop a good teams great TE one play, they get you on another. So stop with we cant stop a TE. The great TE's are great because nobody can stop one all the time.

This game was a set up by the league. I dont know anyone who had us winning this one in NO.

but I say wait a couple more weeks after Denver and NO hit the road a little here because there schedule was set up early for them.

Best include the Patsies in that statement as well.

So what did we learn last night:

1. There are a handful of teams in the league who are legitimate Super Bowl contenders, who have the talent and coaching to go all the way. New Orleans is in this category.

2. Even after spending a gazillion dollars in free agency, Jeff Ireland's Dolphin are not one of those teams. They are not even close to being one of those teams.

3. Until we have an offense that can consistently score 35 points a game we will never be one of those teams in today's NFL. That's just the ugly truth, plain and simple. After all the money spent on free agents, we still just aren't good enough to compete at the elite level.

I gotta say, people like you are a dime a dozen. You take one game where one team is a SB champion from a couple years ago with talent that has fully gelled and are great at home and you take it as we are not good.

Well, I got news for ya. We are only just getting started. Its not as bad as you naysayers say it is. We are playing the best in the league and are currently 3-1. You cant take that away just becuase we got lit up by the best on the road. You cant. So just go root for another team cus I cant stand whiners.

I'm looking at all the negativity in a different way.

We were 3-0. How long has it been since we could say that? We beat 2 playoff teams from last year and logged a very important revenge victory against Indy in our race for a securing a Wild Card spot.

Our winning was getting contagious. The fans were starting to believe. But, like anyone who hasn't had something they want for a very long time, we have experienced the disappointment of "here we go again". We just need to calm down and realize that winning is not going to be a short lived experience with these coaches.

Things are different now. We have a unified organization and we are making really good decisions. We are progressing. And it will take a sustained winning environment for most fans to stop knee jerking.

We're just tired of losing. Tired of every offseason being the best part of our year. Losing and unrealized potential has become Chinese water torture for our fans.

We're starting to win. We beat some good teams. We were playing on Monday Night Football. And we were finally able to live up the excitement of the week leading up to the big game. Talking trash to our friends and enjoying the possibility we were really about to legitimize our success on a national stage.

We went into the game without our most important defensive weapon and another important one. We had been getting by with average line play, a weak running game, an out of sync WR1 and a 2nd year QB who was doing everything right. Our rookie kicker was banging out clutch kicks left and right. We had a lot of reasons to feel great. But we all knew we had holes. We just hoped we could overcome them each game without having to face them. Well, they caught up with us.

We still have a lot of work to do. But this isn't the same speech we've always heard. We have proof we are changing this organization's and team's future. We would just prefer all that happen this year.

Most rebuilding jobs take about 3 years. We are in year 2 and things are looking great and bad at the same time. Frankly, fans should realize that even with our holes we are winning. That is a great indicator that our leadership is great. But we just need to stay the course and execute the plan. This year will be about taking steps forward while taking a few back. But we just have to realize we are finally moving forward. We need another off season and we need time for all of these new WRs and our young QB to come together. Let's not forget, if Keller hadn't got injured some of our OLine issues wouldn't be as glaring.

We are a playoff team that just played a Super Bowl caliber team. There should be differences. We saw them. Now we know how far we have to go.

Deep breath. We're doing just fine.

ireland has been rebuilding for some time now -> good thing he found Tanney -> he saved himself a few years

How can you say that in point #2? If you watched the game, you saw that this team was standing with the Saints. It's obvious that the Saints have some weaknesses, because Miami was moving the ball well. The game was poised to be a high scoring shoot out. Concerning the Dolphins, there are some parts of this team that are coming up short or did come up short in that particular game. One of those parts is the QB part. Ryan Tannehill made two critical errors in the first half that shut his team down. Both of those mistakes occurred when Miami was moving the ball with ease, and both mistakes put the Saints at mid-field and resulted in scores. You can't keep up with them when you're handing them the ball at midfield. The defense was even forcing them into 3-and-out's, but no one is going to contain them when you're turning the ball over!

Don't talk about this team not being "one of those teams" when it's a young, very inexperienced quarterback who is the biggest margin of difference between us and them. It's borderline disrespectful to make that claim. If Tannehill doesn't fumble and doesn't throw that interception, Miami very possibly goes in at the half with a lead. What do you say to that?
