No, if that counted as a reception then every time a QB tossed the ball back to a RB it would have to count as a reception.

It's easier to tell from the overhead angle they were showing on TV. Obvious forward pass.

Not sure the forward pass would have gotten overturned. It is where the ball is when it leaves his hand not where his feet are. It was pretty close although I believe if it was ruled a forward pass I don't think they could have overturned it either. JMO

To me it looks like he let go of the ball at the 13 and it was caught at the 13 and a foot, but it was so close I think if I was a ref I would have a hard to saying there was enough evidence to overturn.
