Coleman Named NFC Defensive Player of the Month
DT Rod Coleman was named NFC Defensive Player of the Month for October. He leads all defensive tackles with seven sacks. In October, Coleman registered 12 tackles, four sacks and two forced fumbles.

Duckett May Return to Action
RB T.J. Duckett (ankle) returned to practice Thursday, Nov. 3, and ran hard in the process. While the team still lists him as questionable for Week 9, it appears he will be able to dress for their upcoming game against the Miami Dolphins.

Jenkins Unlikely to Play
WR Michael Jenkins (ankle) did not practice again Thursday, Nov. 3, and is questionable for Week 9. While questionable, it appears he's closer to doubtful for the game and it seems unlikely that he will be able to play.

White Likely to Start
Rookie WR Roddy White is set to make his first career start during Week 9, replacing injured WR Michael Jenkins (ankle) in the lineup.

I think Jenkins is their best WR. He was awesome in college and I liked him coming out of the draft. Did well at the Senior Bowl too. The light seems like it is clicking on for him this year too. Too bad Ron Mexico doesn't get the ball to his receivers. If I were a receiver, I'd avoid Atlanta like the plague.

I was expecting Jenks to have to take off this week. I don't know if they'll sit him, but White will likely get his first start from what I can tell. He actually is much more dangerous than Jenkins, since his hands are better and he has tons of speed...

Roddy White is still raw and hasn't done much of anything in his rookie season. Who knows if he is ready yet to take the starting job.

Roddy White isn't half the receiver Jenkins is at this stage. Stop trying to make every piece of bad news about he Falcons seem like it's actually good news. Next thing we know, Ron Mexico will be declared out for the game, and Thanatos here will be saying that's good news because Schaub runs the offense better than Mexico anyway. Yet, Mexico is still somehow the best QB in the league. Jim Mora Jr's in jail? That's ok, the assistant coach is more dynamic...he's got a better yell on him, and a much stronger lock-jaw demeanor on the sidelines.

Considering we run the ball all the time and only throw when necessary, usually, he doesn't have to do much. DVD is what matters on this team...

I'm not downplaying Jenks not being in the game. I was just commenting on RW's skills versus Jenks. White has tons more speed and better route running ability. His problem is, he's a rookie Rookie WRs don't usually do all that much league-wide.

Basically, when it gets down to it, the Falcons throw primarily to Crumpler and Finneran, when they do throw. You won't even remember a throw come Sunday, because DVD will run the ball all day long...

That's our game. Concentrate on passing all you want, it isn't what we do...

So you are saying that once we shut down your running game, no way you guys win. :D

And as my sixth grade teacher used to say, "If wishes were horses, we'd all take a ride"

We are an unstoppable force running the ball. It's half past midnight on Friday morning, and this game is still as over as it was when I saw it on the schedule back in the spring.

I realize you guys have hope. Any self-respecting fan would, but in reality, you're getting a beating in just a couple of days now...

Wow, you are REALLY underestimating us.

I am sure Buccaneer fans were saying the same things just days before they went into San Francisco. How did that turn out again? I don't remember.

Yes, a Bucs team that has a winning record because they've played a softer schedule than the Hurricanes have this year so far. A Bucs team with a bad OL, no QB, and Simeon Rice on a plane and not on the field.

You guys can try to prop up the Bucs as some good team, but they are, by light years, the most overrated bunch of chumps in the league...

I'll check back in to confirm this in a few weeks when they've dropped to at or near .500 as they start to play actual NFL talent...

Hey, maybe Vick/Mexico can get some Valtrex endorsements to go along with his various other contracts. Another classless thing Vick did on national TV was when he announced he had two girlfriends. He was asked how he kept his social life in order with such a busy lovelife. He answered, "I just keep two cell phones" and laughed. A guy that knowingly gave herpes to a woman and is being sued over it is either an idiot for making a joke out of that or a pretty poor excuse for a human being.

With those pithy comments you have just confirmed what many of us have already concluded. That you are nothing more than an uninformed, unrealistically biased fan. There's nothing wrong with that except that you come on this forum and present yourself as an expert in football analysis.
The Falcons are a solid team, but they are nowhere near the elite team you make them out to be. The Dolphins have already beaten 2 teams (Broncos, Panthers) which I believe are superior to the Falcons, so for you to think that the Dolphins have no shot at beating the Falcons demonstrates to me that you haven't been watching NFL football very long.
I personally think this game is a toss up only because the Dolphins have been a very unpredictable team (either very bad or very good). If they play a solid game (not an exceptional one) I think they win. Frerotte is inconsistent, but he has been known to light it up every now and then. If he's on target this weekend and the Dolphins attack your suspect defense with a balance, then it's a comfortable win. Your safeties are a huge question mark, as is you linebacking. If Gus is off target, then the Phins won't be able to exploit you dfensive weaknesses.
