I just read this and was going to start a thread on it. It's almost like they are admitting they are wrong, but not really. They are kinda saying "We may have made a mistake, but so did the Fins; they made us do it"

The Martin/Incognito saga is so far from being over and I think a lot more things will come out, for that reason alone I will reserve judgement on this matter.

I just hope whatever comes out that the guys in the locker room stay focused and committed to one another and keep winning.

My personal favorite line from the article. Someone else is always to blame I guess.

"The Dolphins rushed to judgment on Incognito, not the media."

:rotfl1: at trying to pin the media frenzy on the Dolphins.

Exactly. The Dolphins just said they suspended for conduct detrimental. For what anyone knows, Incognito was on a 3 strikes deal and had 2 against him for using racial slurs and that's why he got suspended, in addition to the crap storm it created... and NOT for bullying...

Everyone should stop throwing crap at the walls to see what sticks at this point. And know what? I'm also guilty... First day I was big on Martin's side because of my past of being bullied and I may have been wrong in rushing to conclusions. Won't get caught doing that again in this case again. Will wait until the bitter end of this to see what's up. In either way...

I really have no problem with the Fins suspending him when they did. Martin left, word leaked that he was bullied, the Fins did nothing because they saw no evidence of the bullying, Martin gives them the voicemails, and them by themselves raise eyebrows, Fins send Richie home till it gets sorted out. If there is evidence of workplace misconduct, you send the employee home till you investigate and figure it out. That's all they did.

Bingo. When Jon Martin filed a complaint against Richie and gave them this voicemail? They HAD to suspend him.

This is hysterical. How on earth can you blame the team for this media circus? Unreal.

CYA...It wasn't our fault we were the judge , jury and executioner without knowing the whole story. It must be the Dolphins fault. Yeah Yeah!!

To me it sounds like ''yeah but, they made me do it'' the IT being judging Incognito and the organization. For what we know, Philbin had a no racial slurs EVER in his locker room between teammates - even in jest. Would not be too out of character considering he focuses on tied shoe laces...

But the media spins what the media spins...

There is no doubt Philbin did,his remark was those words aren't in my vocabulary.Which means he doesnt use them nor like them, but knows the generation and use of it is used in so many differnt ways without meaning evil.

This is straight out of Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals.

Unbelievable! Even when preaching the need to not rush to judgement, they end up getting one last dig into organization. Fins had no choice but to suspend Incognito when they did after presented with the VM. The media circus started before that. Had management not suspended COG, they would have been ripped to shreds even more so.

I dont buy that the dolphins had no other option but suspend InCognito. If they had no evidence then they should have stuck by thir player. He was suspended for a very specific reason

Correct. If this was 20 years ago and twitter didn't exist, Incognito would be playing Monday night.

Not now.
