It sickens me to hear all of the reasons (excuses) explaining our record, while I see many teams across the league in similar situations. Thus, it is not the excuses that are keeping us in the bottom part of the league, it is something else less tangible. It is heart or confidence or loft ('lack of ^&*&^** talent').

Excuses:

(1)Our QB is not healthy--boy, you certainly don't hear the same complaints in New Orleans, Philly, Cincy, and Jetsville. Serious injuries to these QB's, and they are all playing excellent or very well. A step down, you could make the same argument for other QB's who had big injuries last year(albeit not as serious) like Grossman and Bulger.
(2)Our oline is yet to jell--love this one. Yes, there are no superstars on this line, but do you see the same problems in Tenn., Clev., Buffalo, San Diego, etc.?? Now, with the exception of SD, these teams aren't that great, but they certainly aren't blaming the oline day after day, game after game. Tell me how the Chargers do it with a non-descript line and no Houck? Must be system or something. Of course they have LT, but I think they be pretty frickin' good with RB as well.
(3) Damon Huard-I mean, are you kidding me? We couldn't even coach up this guy to be better than Fiedler (Sorry Jay, always like your heart and guts) and now he is leading KC to a 41 point win. Could you honestly say we could beat SF by 41 points with Culpepper? No chance in hell-we just don't beat up other teams; we didn't when Ricky was running rampant in '02, and we didn't for many of the last Marino years. We are so boring on offense, and now we are simply terrible. It is a challenge just getting first downs against the Texans and the Titans. Simply sickening.
(4)Pass rush--where the hell is it. Yeah, we have 12 sacks, that's good, but boy do we have stretches, and I mean stretches where we don't push the pocket whatsover. And that was against the Titans and Texans and Bills. Sad. What a way to blow up the secondary.

Man, I could go on and on. Draft picks, trades, etc. have been relatively futile. Chambers and Brown are by far the best over the last 5 years. McMichaels is overrated, and so is Crowder and Allen. ZT and JT are certainly still decent players, but slowly passing their time. Holiday and Carter should be gone next year. Ugh, it is not looking good. And where is the help for the oline?? Alabi, Toledo, Jacox, McKinney. Please, these guys are of no hope, let's be honest.

Sugar coat it all you want. This could get even uglier before it gets better.

I'm pretty sure Haurd was never given a chance here, considering Fiedler was given the job. A s I recall Marino backed up Haurd as being next in line once he retired.

And if it's so bad, just give up, stp whining, and find something else to do besides pay attention to the 'laughing stock of the league.'

Just ask how the 49ERS feel about being a "laughing stock of the league" . Once a great team who have steadily declined over the years and who are only now getting a few decent players. What makes us so special? Seriously. We have not been at the top of the tree for some yrs now but i believe we are due and will get back. Wont be an instant fix though getting Saban onboard. Its a start.

I would not say he is whining. he is as all DIE HARD fin fans are:: FRUSTRATED!!

Yeah 13283, I guess you're content with the state of the team...

People need to recognize the difference between whining and constructive criticism. Those who whine are the ones saying put Harrington in, Culpeppers' a bum, fire Saban, bring back JJ...

Nonsense. What we need is to build our lines through the draft, and then everything will fall into place. It all starts on offense with the oline, and it all starts on defense with the dline. What happens 2-3 years from now when JT, Carter, Holiday, Traylor, Big Daddy, and Zgonina are gone? We're left with D. Bowens and M. Roth and a couple 7th rounders. Game over...

2-14 ugly?

It is in the process of getting less ugly.

Funny you add Buffalo in the O-line section of your rant. Buffalo's O-line is actually pretty steady. Buffalo's O-line through 4 games is only allowing 2.75 sacks per game to the Dolphins 5.25 sacks per game. And has allowed Willis to be leading the league in rushing.

Buffalo also is 2 plays away from being 4-0 and should be 4-0 if there wasnt a couple of small mistakes, but **** happens. The league sees what Buffalo can do if they limit their mistakes. They played somewhat of a mistake free game (as far as turnovers are considered) and they beat the Vikings. The Vickings almost beat the Bears. The true test on Buffalo's O-line is going to be this Sunday against the Bears.

I agree with you, but if you listend to what Saban had to say when we first brought him in he said it would take a few years to bring in and get all the players he wants. He is slowly building a good steady team, this will take some time and those of you who fail to realize we will be better in the long run need to chill. Yes I am frustrated with how the season is going but REAL fans dont cry and make up excuses. We will be fine maiby not this year or next but we will be back to "the good old days"

I'm for Harrington playing and I don't consider that whining. Your points are valid, but put away the soap box. Life's too short for that sort of nonsense.

So we suck..

Big deal!! At the begining of the season, i though we will be a contender, at this moment it doesn't look like it. If i have something to say ,would not be frustrated, i would say "i'm disapointed" ,but not on what is happening in the field, i'm disapointed on the high spectation i put on the Dolphins at the beginig of the season, they weren't reasonable. Insted of looking to a almost empty glass , from now on i will see it as a starting of fulling the glass. GO DOLPHINS!! :dolphins:

Ps step by step, we will get there. This is a team efford and i will help in this process, not by bit###, but by looking the good stuff we got.

Nobody in America is patient enough. Look at the fire Jeff Fisher crap in Tennessee. Dude is stuck with a dogsh!t team and the fans want him fired. Ridiculous.

yeah i know but we have to get used to it, to many people think the world is falling apart after two losses. For all we know this team could turn things around and fulfill some of the high expectations we all had in the preseason. I am not saying its going to happen but you never know. All I am going to say is win or lose I am a die hard Dolphins fan!!!!! :dolphins:

Maybe you dont hear this from other teams because their QBs are healthy?

I would hardly consider us the laughing stock of the league. We have not been blown out in any game. I think every game we have played this season we have been in a position to win. Being outplayed and blown out week in and week out would be laughable to some, but we are hardly that.
