Question for some on this board. Why is it that all these teams passed on the next great thing out of ND since Joe Montana. Why did all these teams pass on Brady "Golden Boy" Quinn, (in Kipers words) he is the next great franchise QB. IMO, if Quinn is going to be so great, wouldnt you think that one of these teams would have drafted him. I dont want to hear about draft needs, if Quinn is going to be that great. Some people need to realize that Quinn is a good QB, but not great! I find it completely embarassing that some people are jumping all over our FO, for no apparant reason. I understand that there was a reason, we needed a QB....guess what we got one, even though he wasnt the "sexy" pick or the "media's" selection. Brady Quinns draft stock was dropping, and he says all the right things, refer back to his intereview with ESPN, 2 weeks before the draft. I am completely happy with our selections and we got a BIGTIME PLAYMAKER! We also got a QB with pinpoint accuracy, with a better arm and possibly just as smart, even though he wasn't the "sexy" pick! Just an opinion.

Raiders...got their man

Lions....cant pass on Johnson

Saying this in the most heterosexual way possible, Ted Ginn, Jr. is the ultimate sexy pick. He's fun to watch, fills the stadium with fans who want to watch his electrifying returns and I'm sure we'll sell lots of Ginn jerseys as well. I think he'll be a good pro.

That being said, I will never give another Dolphins coach a free ride. If I think they ****ed up, I'll say it.

I was furious we didn't take Quinn on Saturday, upset on Sunday, but I have reacted to all the hype about what it would take to trade up to get Quinn and then the excitement that we might not have to as teams in front of us passed him and then not take him when he was there at 9. I'm pretty sure Cam/Randy have good reason to draft the way they did. We will see how it works out in the long run, but right now I'm happy with the draft and hope that Ginn will prove me wrong.

I agree, trust me I was pissed when I heard Ginn's name called. But looking at all the teams that passed on him you have to wonder. I know everyone is saying those teams didn't need a quarterback but put it this way. If you really believe that Brady Quinn will be the next Peyton Manning or Tom Brady, then the only two teams that should have passed on him would have been Indy and the Pats.

Amen if Quinn was so good he wouldve not been at 22 look at big ben and rodgers for examples. Brady is not NFL ready he struggles is the big games in college if that happned in college imagine now Ginn is going to be electrifying we really needed help on the offense booker is going to be leaving soon so wee needed this pick all i wouldve done is we shouldve traded down. but whatver ginn is ours. And for all those making funn of ginn dont be jumping on the ginn bandwagon if he breaks out

I'm not saying that Quinn is going to bust but there is definitely that factor. Basically there is no guarantee that he is going to be great and it's more likely that he'll just be an above average quarterback for his career. I've watched him play quite a bit and I don't really think he's gonna completely bust, he definitely has skills.

i must admitt i flew off my rocker at first but as time as moved on i am really starting to love this draft and i will buy a ginn jersey right after i buy a culpepper and beck jersey .

of course if i find a extra sage jersey i may bay a sage jersey just for ole times sakes:sidelol:

I must agree with phins 72 and i think i am having good vibes about out team.

big question to think of, would the bears have been in the superbowl without devin hester. granted we embaressed him in the fins game, but as good as their defense was wouldve they been in the superbowl without his returns and field position. granted hester went 2nd round but he was drafted pretty much as pure return man in the 2nd. what with get with gin is a faster return man who is also gonna help in the offense. so if our offense still sputters wouldnt it be better to sputter starting at the 40 instead of the 25. or maybe even have a few teams shank a couple punts trying to kick it out of bounds away from him. we dont need the first round pick to win us 10 more games this season but if he can help win us 2-3 by "himself" then its worth the number 9 pick

Devin Hester was a second rounder, not a ninth overall. He also wasn't coming off a bad injury that he still was not recovered from.
