Was Sherman handcuffing to shield us from his QB's limitations? It seems like EVERY crossing route is a bit off, yet he can still hit his curl routes and the bread and butter routes from Shermans O. Is it possible he is just not accurate enough, whether its throwing to recievers or spots with crossing routes?

Being inaccurate with poor pocket awareness doesn't work in many offensive s ystems.

Lazor was brought in to fix the quarterback. If it happens, it won't be overnight. You're either going to see big improvement over the season, or you're going to see a quarterback drafted in the first round.

That said, I'm okay with them starting Matt Moore after the bye because I think Tannehill can continue to develop on the bench.

This is the thing that I am thinking to myself is that we have coaches that are doing things that our player are not fit for. Can we put some blame on the QB coach, who is the son-in-law of Mike Sherman. So just like Joe, this guy basically had no major duties or experience before the Dolphins. He was handed the job because he was married to Sherman’s daughter. We have tons of talent; we just do not have to type of coaches to make it all gel together. Joe is horrible, and I am sorry to say it. He seems like a great guy but I have had enough with the Dolphins, I do think the fan can take another screw-up coach after this.

Crisper throws and catching the ball would help in this entire situation.

I can tell you that from my watching of the games, this is overstated. Have some been off? yes. Too many? yes. All? no.

It may take longer than Arians it would for Eli to adapt to a new system. Further, I believe its primarily RT's footwork that needs improving. I don't disagree. I have heard some (a Melty Ice fanboy perhaps) & other say Ryan isn't smart enough vehemently disagree. Others say it is the speed at which he process info. That IMO touches on the issue... There is no questioning RT's smarts. What it may be is really smart types tend to overthink? Could it be a simple as paralysis by over-analysis? Again, here is where Dan could help.

**If** Brett Hundley declares then he should absolutely be selected by the phins (**if** still on the board). I can't think of any other QB's worthy.

I agree. You'd think by now the phins would learn that nepotism is not the best way to pick a HC or coaching staff.

Let's not over analyze. He just doesn't have the instincts to master the position at a high level

I think it was already way better in the Chiefs game than in the first two games, especially on the crossing routes. But I'm also of the opinion that his ball placement has never been a problem until week 1 this year.

And I agree with you that we need to play to our QB's strengths: play at a faster pace, don't let the defense set.

im through with lazor, finished. Running on third and ten? more than once?

**** him. And Philbin as well - who I have always been ok with.

so far I couldn't be more disappointed with Lazor's play calling...couple examples from last week...we start a drive letting Ryan sling the ball...back to back completions to Wallace gets us across the 50 and the Chief's are on their heels, routes seem wide open and we're running a hurry up...then what do we do? completely kill the momentum by running right up the middle gaining nothing then going into a huddle for the next play...Chiefs get to regroup and the drive stalls...2nd example, Lamar rips off a 20 yard gain to get us to about midfield, next play we run up the middle for no gain, NEXT PLAY they run play action and RT gets sacked...why are they running PA after a run of no gain? The time to run PA was after the 20 yard gain...again drive stalls...those two drives were when it was 21-13 and 21-15 if I remember correctly and they both stalled because of nonsense situational play calling

Agreed that he'll still be learning on the bench, and not only that, but I think seeing Moore go out there will do 1 more major positive -- get a better evaluation of the coaching staff if they're legit when they're not handicapped by Tannehill's bad habits.

My only concern is if you bench Tannehill too early, or too long, does it still leave the question of "Is he the guy?" in the air?
That question needs to get answered by season's end, or else drafting a QB in a high-round may or may not be the wisest decision. This team has other pressing needs too (like LB).

Better question for around week 10. The offense as a whole won't find a true comfort zone till around the mid way mark. No one wants to admit it or hear it but that's about the average time it takes to implement a new offense at the professional level.
