I saw on espn.com for clayton's possible cap cuts and i saw Jamie Sharper available, does anyone think he could fit in well with zach/crowder??

I think Saban will try to get Peterson at any cost. He recruited the guy so he knows him and well, and Peterson excelled in Saban's system. It's a perfect fit. He could come in at SLB right away.

I too believe Peterson would be a great pickup if we can pull it off...

I dont think Saban is realy that kind of guy.

If Brees comes available, get him and if Peterson is reasonable...Id love to have him.

Anyone else for drafting Manny Lawson? He could be the type hybrid LB/DE that we need in Saban's scheme.

Im with you on that. He could learn JT's position for a few years and take over when JT retires.

If the top FA targets are QB and OL, and we go after Brees and Bentley - both will cost - a lot. I don't think we will be able to afford Peterson.

Peeeeetersen is coming to town!!!:dolphins:

i think he will come or mgiht come for a reasonable price. I mean depending on how much love he has for saban and friendship and love for teh game/championship or other options out there. I mean, George of the lakers 3 yrs ago signed an extension to stay in LA b/c of the rings they were getting for about 20 mill less the nwaht Utah offered so you nevre know

Right, we probably won't be able to afford all 3 and I think Peterson is the least needed, but if we can't get Bentley then Peterson may be an option.

I would rather get Bentley than Peterson (we wont be able to get both) and draft a LB...

I would also like to get Bentley than Peterson, I think there are good possibilities at OLB in the draft in Greenway, Howard, Lawson and others to be getting Peterson and taking up a lot of cap room.

Peterson would be great for our defense.:dolphins:

Yea, he would...but keep in mind he's leaving SF because he's scheduled to make too much against the cap (even given his talent) and he won't negotiate with them....what does that say ??? At any rate, going after him will be predicated on how quickly a QB is signed. I have to believe that if Saban breaks the bank, it'll be for a QB and he'll draft a LB to build the team...
