Should we go out and get Jamie Collins and Lawrence Timmons or draft a ILB . We have lots of money to spend in the offseason so who should we go out and get. I have a feeling players would want to play for Gase after seing what he could do with such a talentless roster and injuries.

I don't think there's any way that Jamie Collins doesn't get tagged or signs a deal with Cleveland; they traded a 3rd rounder for him. I wouldn't mind Timmons, but I think they draft a LB.

People who think the Cleveland Browns traded for Jamie Collins just so he could walk at the end of the season have no clue. And I seriously doubt Timmons becomes a free agent, plus he's also 30 already.

We have lots of money and only 36 players under contract for next year...that money will go quick...7 draft picks will cost around $3-4$ million and that's if they all stick. At best we'll need to sign 10 players to the 53, some of those will hopefully be our own...Kiko Alonso 1st round tender $4 million, re-sign Kenny Stills hopefully another $6-$7 million/year, re-sign Branch probably $8 million/year...money goes fast but lets go out and overpay for a big name player in fine Tannenbaum fashion. Make sure we don't have any depth and expect Gase to keep working miracles.

Double up in the draft with at least one in the first two rounds AND sign a mid tier FA that can hold down the fort while a rookie develops or stop gap if the rooks bust

Collins will get stupid money

We already have several stupidly big FA contracts. Cant carry more

Probably need your strong side backer in free agency...not many guys come straight out of school ready to handle poa play and take on at the nfl level at strong

Plus you dont want to invest a top 2 round pick in a 2 down strong side backer

Any thoughts on Melvin Ingram at SLB? Probably too expensive, and 4-3 might not be his best scheme. But he's talented.

Explosive up field pass rusher think you waste him asking him to handle poa and fill

Miamis scheme doesnt ask tbe strong side backer to win vs tackles in the sub

We need more the kj wright type ideal world but really we need to do strong cheap if they arent gonna ask them to win vs tackles

Put the money in mike and weak in this scheme

It is probably still a good idea to shift Alsonso outside and find a MLB. You might be able to play hewitt on the other side

I also think ingram would be very pricey...be surprised if san diego didnt see his future with joey bosa as being very bright

Most of his win on the edge is just absolute freakish speed and explosion off the corner where guys barely get out of their stance

Anybody you see in the FA group that would make the most sense? I agree that SLB should be addressed in FA, and can be done inexpensively. But I'd like a mike or will to be brought in too for competition, specifically guys that excel in coverage that can be used in subpackages. Really wouldn't mind us drafting a Deon Bucannon type, a S/LB hybrid. Would give our defense a bit more flexibility and help with coverage over the middle.

I have no idea on tbe lb free agent crop especially for strong for our scheme

The scheme limits the impact which limits the earning potential for a guy from what i see

One thing i would say is i think they wsnt to get bigger for the poa and fill aspects at lb...more that 6 foot 3 range and length types

So i would think that also would be the draft focus...More size more length
