We would be stupid not to pay him. Best FB in the game by far!!! His blitz pickup is very good and he clears out the hole on every play. Lane and Clay might be decent developmental players but they are Pop Warner compared to Leach.

Houston is obviously his preferred destination, but they might not have the money to make it happen. Sounds like his backup choice is Miami.

I agree with your post Josh. Probably trying to get the Texans to free up some more money. I read that in an article that he really likes the Texans.

Vonta Leach is the top rated Fullback in the NFL and made a significant contribution to clear the running lanes for Ray Rice through last season that culminated in winning the Super Bowl. There is a reason why he has 7 suitors. He is the best at his position.
Now we can wax lyrically about Jorvorskie Lane's potential but the reality is that he is nowhere near matching Leach's performance. We would be lucky to get him and Ireland probably knows it. But no harm in trying. Besides, he may look good in aqua and white and may appreciate that there are no state taxes in Florida.

Remember he was also the FB that helped Arian Foster go off three years ago. He's an absolute beast of a fullback and would be a clear upgrade

Agree... and If we're abled to sign him it would be a huge upgrade at the fullback position. I would love to have him here.
