1) This AFC executive was very brief and to the point: "We don't have any interest in him. He doesn't have any juice left and he's not smart enough to learn our offense."

2) This NFC pro scout was on the fence: "I do think he still has some life in his legs, but the mental concerns are what trouble me."

3) This AFC executive had a very interesting opinion: "I don't have a clue what you are going to get with him and neither does anybody else. He didn't show enough on tape last year to get a good feel for him."

4) This NFC pro scout had positive things to say: "I really liked him on 2010 tape with the Bengals. I was disappointed that our team didn't sign him. I think he still has something left."

5) This NFC executive was very critical: "He doesn't have much left. He has to play outside because he doesn't have the toughness to work in the middle of the field. He can't stretch the field anymore and he doesn't have any special teams value."

6) This NFC pro scout echoed a previous statement: "I liked him in 2010. I just don't think he was a fit in New England."

7) This NFC executive did extensive homework on Ochocinco's time in New England: "He was a great teammate. I was told he worked extremely hard and wasn't a distraction. When you watch the tape, he still has juice and he ran good routes. The biggest issue is the mental thing. You can watch him constantly line up in the wrong spot or forget to line up on the ball when he is the 'X' receiver. Simple stuff. This wasn't just an issue in New England either. He had some trouble in Cincinnati, as well."

He sounds like a great "mentor" for our young WRs.......And at only $940,000 a season. Which is more then Gates, Wallace, Moore, Pruitt and our drafted WRs make combined.

:rolleyes2:

... you think that Gates + Wallace + Moore + Pruitt + the drafted WRs COMBINED is less than $940,000? Are you serious? Why the hell are people so enamored with training camp fodder? It's not a defense of Chad Johnson to say that Wallace + Moore + Pruitt will never be consistent threats in this offense

It IS not a defense of Chad to say that, but it is absurdly premature to say that 1st and 2nd year players have no future based on...

Based on what exactly? :rolleyes2:

Funny thing in that Carson Palmer and the Raiders aren't even interested.

Who are these "1st and 2nd year players" you are trying to counter argue for again? I said Wallace, Moore and Pruitt. Wallace is an entering 3rd year player, Moore is an entering 3rd year player, Pruitt a 4th year.

Wait lets make my argument even better!

okay thats good! I really showed you, huh?

But really - I mean, do a simple google search before you start spouting off incorrect things.

Regardless, I see this EVERY SINGLE YEAR from you guys. Is Wallace/Moore/Pruitt more likely to outperform Chad if put in the same position we would place Chad in, if signed? My opinion, no. It's based off his previous success. Yes, he had a down year, but he was a fantastic receiver for how long? 8-9 years? I'd take a washed out veteran has been over a couple of never was guys simply because they are younger and already on the roster.

I'm all for it.....lets get a receiver that forgets to line up in the right spot and seems to not have the "mental" edge anymore. Just what our QB staff needs. :rolleyes2:
The Pats couldn't do anything with him and they do more with less than any team I have ever seen.
We always seem to do less with more.

i think he has something left and was a bad fit in NE .how would he have lasted this long if he was not able to grasp a playbook

He sucks. Don't see any reason whatsoever to add an old, sucky WR to a group of young, sucky WR's.

WCO is an offense where's everybody eligeable to catch a pass, doesn't take much playbook to learn this offense, get open look for football.

new England is tightend heavy offense, and besides every pass was going Wes or Gronkowski and Hernandez.

What do league execs think about Legedu Nannee, Roberto Wallace, Marlon Moore, or Clyde Gates....
