WCO is an offense where's everybody eligeable to catch a pass, doesn't take much playbook to learn this offense, get open look for football.

The problem was not so much him learning the numbers of the plays or which route to run. The problem is that he could not make a very quick decision of which route to change to when he sees the defense. And make a decision that his QB (T Brady) also thought of.

I remember when we where talking about Matt Flynn and somewhere the had a story where he listed his thoughts during a series of plays. most of them passing plays. He said that in the Green Bay (and most other modern NFL passing offenses) the QB comes out and checks with his WRs after they both see the defense. The QB must see that the route being ran by the TE is covered but if he runs a different one, he could break wide open.

It is science all of it's on but WRs and QBs have signals that they send to each other with tiny gestures. This is why P Manning has always driven his WRs and he insists on extra hours throwing to them. He teaches them what he wants them to do against certain defenses. I've read a Colt WR breaking down how they both saw the corner had lined up a little too much way taking away a play there but giving up another somewhere else.

This is the problem that C Gates is having. C Gates can run the pattern given to him. He is having problems quickly coming to decide to change his route and what to change it to. And for the QB to know he is going to do that.

I think we are going to keep it simple for Chad.

Maybe not that low but the last CBA has changed everything. Rookies and young players make almost nothing. But a 12 year ols vetarn must make $925,000.

I'm off I know but I know most of our WRs make close to the minimum. I looked it up and it is bigger then I thought, I'm sure the many practice squad members of our WR corp make a lot less.

Salaries for Practice Squad players are set at $5,200/week, which comes out to just over $100,000 a season

So the rest of them after getting 100K a season at most. The season has not started pay wise. Wallace, Pruitt, Moore etc are all SS players I think making 100K a season. And right now all UDFAs are making practice squad money. If we do sign them, they are forced to make a low contract as far as it is a 3 year contract.

We have very little in our WRs. We do have a seaon left of dead money because of BM. Next season we will be able to spend more in general.

Funny thing about this is if we didn't sign him half the people would complain saying we should have given him a shot. The other half say he doesn't have anything left. I know he isn't Moss or anything but they said the same thing about him and also TO in the past and were completely wrong. If these WR's with the crazy personalities focus they can be great assets. So sure sign him to a minimal contract with no gaurantees and if it works great! If not then hey we at least gave it a shot. He doesn't have to make the roster.

Miami is chads hometown. Nothing like some good home cooking to get inspired and silence the doubters and the critics.
When chad changed his name to Ocho cinco i thought since then he had Miami on his radar screen. I think chad was overlooked in new england because of the diversity of the weapons and the emphasis on tight end in NE. So chad had one or 2 down years? When marshal 1st came here he had like one touchdown the whole season. I would not be surprised that one of the unproven shoe in wide receivers gets cut to make room for ochocinco. I also would not be surprised to see Chad be the second leading receiver on the team.

Chad seems to me to be a very savvy PR guy. He has this opportunity with The phins and Hard Knocks to define his legacy. He is very proud of his work ethic and his good behavior. He will get his opportunity to show us these things and his new found maturity. This is his last shot and he knows it. He will make the most of it. Hes going to be a BEAST, unlike Marshals punk A$$.
