On the first drive of the game Lee Evans catches the ball and is pushed out at the one, he then jumps into the stands and spends like 10 seconds hugging everybody in the endzone seats. If Randy taunted what about that?? It's totally unfair to call one and let Buffalo trashtalk, mug and go ape****!! This is a tough game to rewatch. I'm getting mad allover again. In boxing the best referee is the guy who lets the fighters fight and only steps in when he must. I wish the NFL refs would do the same. The outcome should be decided by defensive stops, touchdowns etc, not flags. It also slows the game down. Something needs to be done.

Randy was flagged for taunting another player not celebrating a touchdown.

leaping in to the stands is COMPLETLY diffrent than taunting a player, by pointing the ball at his face. it is diffrent. this is one of SEVERAL threads about taunting. and its the same every time. R. Mac was taunting and got a flag. other acts like Clements dance after an INT, and Evans stands leap, are not illegal in the NFL.

What about when Priest Holmes does the same thing on nearly every TD he scores? If you're gonna call it on Randy, call it on Priest all the time as well.

apples and oranges.

Might not be the best comparison, but the penalty was bs. He didnt do anything different from what players do all the time and never get a flag for.

well a taunting penalty is a judgment call. its up to the refs.

but if you want a conspiracy theory, MAYBE the refs think more highly of Priest, than they do McMike. Priest being a great player, and McMike being a very good player who has been arrested a few times...

It's hard to know the difference because the lines are blurred. So it's not taunting to have a major celebration that includes the Lambeau Leap?? By the way it wasn't even a touchdown, Evans was pushed out at the one. When does celebrating become taunting?? Is it a judgement call by the ref? If so, I don't like that one bit because it needs to be consistant. If the player knows he's breaking the rules and does it anyway(Sam Madison throwing Smith down 10 yards out of bounds in the Carolina game) I think the Coach needs to do something about it from a punishment standpoint. Under Shula we were the least penalized team for years. He just wouldn't stand for it. Why is Saban?

These are excuses. RM got flagged because he is not disciplined enough to simply play the game....just like Madison and Ephrim (sp?) Its a lack of leadership from players that should know better and its a disappointment!:fire:

Justa, Orange you glad your team won yesterday? We'll get even in Miami, how will you like those apples?

when you attempt to flash the ball in the face of a defensive player or hand it to him after a td. It doesn't get any simpler than that.

I think I got it. So guys can Riverdance, make phone calls, moonwalk, shoot moons and that's all cool? You can't let Priest do it and call it on Randy. They could have warned him but for all I know thay have warned him and that's why it was called. It's all sour grapes anyway. We needed to go up there and play smart and execute. We didn't.

Home field refs scared of geting killed in Bufalo. Heck they beat up little old school teachers. If I was a ref I would be scared too!

How 'bout you just give your honest opinion on whether you think McMichaels taunt was worthy of a flag. If it were Moulds doing the exact same thing would you think the penalty was justified based on what you saw from McMichael? I doubt it.
