Jaguars | Limit Leftwich's Work
Fri, 12 Aug 2005 06:58:33 -0700

Bart Hubbuch, of the Florida Times-Union, reports Jacksonville Jaguars QB Byron Leftwich (arm), his right arm still wrapped in a protective sleeve, was a limited participant at practice Thursday evening, August 11. He threw a grand total of one pass in the entire 90-minute workout, including position drills.

That's too bad, it would be great to have him in there. Give us a good idea of how we are doing to have their best guys playing.

Sounds pretty bad if he can only throw the ball once. I wonder how far he threw it.

Well at least we'll get to see a lot of Garrard, the guy who everyone thought Gordon was gonna get traded for some reason.

That sucks. Our 1st string D tested against their backup QB doesn't really tell us a whole lot about ourselves. He might not have played much anyways, but neither will our 1st stringers.

that sucks for our defense not to get the practice, Leftwich sucks anyway.. But probably better than anything we got... bring on the arguments.

Why should they risk their 1st stringer on their 1st preseason game? No one does that for more than a series or two.

Because if the first team offense doesn't score at least 28 points, the fans will all overwhelmingly think the team sucks.

Well, we've come to expect that sort of reaction. Every once in a while, someone has to throw in a little hint of reality. I'll butt out now.
:D

Garrard is still a very good Qb,he has sub leftwitch very well in the best I thik

i agree, gerrard is very good and especially for a back-up our D will get tested with him, no worries

Well, if our starting D is in there against their backup QB and we struggle, that will be pretty telling about the state of our defense.

Now it's possible that Fred Taylor may not play:
