put aside the 4th round pick and V.C can become a long time starter for the FIN

Jackson was certainly better than Carey. I can't argue too much with that one due to the impressive depth at RB. A position where we don't have such impressive depth is DT. We're getting really old there, and we should have drafted Wilfork. He is absolutely a better available player than Carey at that point.

According to WQAM, the New England Patriots were offering their 4th round pick to move up to the number 19 slot. They were ready to select Vernon Carey had they moved up. The Miami Dolphins though offered their 4th round pick and the Vikings accepted because it was higher.
