I made a post saying lets sign Bell to a big contract but after reading other posts I realize that he should only get a 1-3 year deal but the fins need Bell on this team. Bell will get signed by the Pats and do what all the players we lose do to the Fins, destroy us. Bell needs to be a Dolphin in 2009.:rimshot:

destroy us? hes had 3 interceptions the whole time hes been a fin.. but yes hes a very good tackler

I agree we have to do everything possible to keep him away from the Pats.

oh dear god. he's one of my favorite fins - if he becomes a Pat, I'd have to find someone to punch in the throat.

Oh so what if Bell becomes a Patriot. We'll just send Bess or Camarillo at Bell because he won't be able to make a play on the ball anyway.

Let him become a Pat. Their secondary will suffer as a result. All he is good for is a big hit or two here and there. We need someone who can hit and intercept.

Yeremiah is one of my favorite Dolphins. With that being said, its not like he's Ed Reed or anything. It hurts us if he goes, but not as much as one would think. He didnt even have any picks last year.

Bell was one of the best players on defense last year. The Pats would be luck to get him. You apparently weren't watching the games last year.

Their are two free agents I really wanted to be resigned for next season. They are Bell & Carey. Bell is definately one of my favorite players. I definately hope we resign him & like one of my fellow dolfans said "if he becomes a patriot, imma have to find someone to PUNCH!!!!":D

The pats don't have the cap space unless they move Cassell. There only like 5 million under the cap and they'll need most of that to sign rookies.

I watched and that is all he did. He tackles and does not intercept or tip enough balls which is what we need in the secondary. He's like a guy who is way too small to play LB, but that is all he is good at.

I think he is a good player, but he is not what everyone here is making him out to be. We can easily replace him with Sean Jones or someone else in FA, and they probably will get way more picks plus Bell is over 30.

I agree with the age concern, but safety is one of the positions which players seem to play longer at. But Still he's getting up there in age.

Bell is a good player and deserves a 2-3 year deal. Generally safeties get the least picks in the secondary and the most tackles, and he is not just a average tackler he lead the team in tackles and is among the best safety tacklers in the league.

Can you please give some examples of former Fins who now "destroy us"? Sorry, but I'm drawing a blank.

Why would we care to lose a player to the Pats, this is not like Penny coming to us. Bell is a decent player but that's it, decent can get replaced by a strong FO. If we let him go it should tell you that he wants to much money, he's not valued that much by the FO, he could easily be replaced. Our FO is in the business of collecting talented players not just letting them go, so there will be a good reason or he will get re-signed still.
