I just want to take a moment to remind everyone that we are still a rebuilding team, a team with alot of young potential and a team that needs to fill alot of missing holes. I bring this up to merely remind everyone that we cant expect to fill and improve on every position that we lacked last year all before the start of next season. Taking it slow and allowing the FO to get the positions fixed correctly (instead of quickly) is a much better aproach. Natually I, like the rest of you, would like to see the Dolphins win the super bowl next year but that is most likely unrealistic. Lets allow our team to slowly get better for the next few years until we have all the players in place and developed to become the real contenders that we all wanna be. Obviously waiting one or two more years to get the ring is going to be hard, but it will be worth it when we have a team that is feared year after year as a result

I couldn't make out a word you said your Avatar had me distracted!!! :lol2::lol2::lol2:

an 11-5 team and the afc east champions cannot be considered "rebuilding" haha.. we rebuilt in one year.. now we have to work on "improving"

Wrong, we had an extremely easy schedule, and almost lost a lot of games to bad teams. We are still rebuilding. we have a foundation, but we arent close to a finished product.

it does not matter who you beat, when you beat them, where you win, or by how much.. all that matters is the W and we got that done..

No, it does matter who you beat and by how much. We barely beat bad teams for much of the season and then when faced with a good team in the playoffs were promptly dominated.

As CW McGraw points out, there is a big difference between being a playoff contender and Superbowl champs. The playoffs showed us how much we still had to accomplish, the steps we still need to climb. We did what we had to and accomplished amazing things last year, but it was obv that we were lacking when playoff began!

did you see our team play Balt. twice last year, now Pittsburg is on our schedule, would last year's team beat pittsburg? We're a work in progress, i.e., still rebuilding, it was a good year, but we didn't rebuild in one year..or otherwise we wouldn't played balt. better, they could hang with pittsburg, we couldn't hang with balt.. we've got some players to get..hopefully, we're a better team this year..we'll see. but as of the end of last season we weren't elite.. An elite team would have beat the pats twice last year..

Is Baltimore a "rebuilding" team. Last time I checked, they were beaten by our 1-15 team in 2007 and they finished the season with a whopping 4 wins (I believe).
Yet, in 2008 they were in the AFC championship game.
I think too much is made of the term rebuilding. In this era of FA, I'm not even sure what the term means anymore.
I think a more appropriate term would be redirecting, for some teams have no direction whatsoever (Lions etc) and are constantly in "rebuilding" mode.

We got lucky on 1 play, baltimore didn't have a qb that year, which is why we hung, they weren't rebuilding like us, they got a qb and you could see the difference... we weren't on their level..stop kidding yourself.. if we were, at least one of the games would have been close. I think our improving the OL this year may help us get to where balt. was last year..but that's a big if. Our D has to improve too. right now, we've added a Safety and a LB in Wade..is that enough? Will the rest of the D improve from year 1 to year 2..and by how much..those are keys, but watching balt play the steelers and the titians let me know we couldn't have beaten the titians and steelers last year. Our schedule this year should help our team a lot....It will cause them to have to be focus every week, because they can't take anyone for granted, that should make our team a better team, something they can learn from.

yes there is a diff between a playoff contender and superbowl champs.. but if u can call us a playoff contender, then you cannot say we are rebuilding.. rebuilding is completely restructering your roster and making big changes to start over and get going.. well we did that last year, and it worked out very quickly. But if you look at miami right now, yes they have holes, but they already have that foundation to be competitors.. so once again 11-5 TEAMS CANNOT BE CONSIDERED REBUILDING.. simply improving
