Depth Chart of important players as of now:

Defense:

CB- X, Tank, Bobby, Lippett
S- Reshad, TJ
LB- Raekwon, Kiko, Anthony, Allen
DL- Wake, Suh, Quinn, Harris,Godchaeux, Phillips, Branch, Taylor

Offense:

QB- Tannehill, Doughty
RB- Drake, Perry
WR- Stills, DvP, Landry (tbd but he will sign the tag), Grant, Carroo
TE- Gray, Derby
OL- Tunsil, Pouncey, Larsen, Davis, Brendel, Asiata

Player I want back at the very least- Parkey


Ok so pretty much everyone else is a FA or not worth mentioning at this point. Heres the overall list of who's on the books:

We have currently 7 picks in the draft

Just wanted a base level here for what we have and what we should target
 
Need a lot, but FA will take care of some of it. Assuming Landry stays, looks like we need in order of priority:

If Landry stays at 16 mill you can forget about any free agents. We're almost 20 mill over the cap plus we'll need another 7 mill just for the draft

Derwin or Malik Jefferson in the 1st and we'd be off to a good start

Nick Chubb in the 3rd please if he lasts that long

We all are laughing believe me. It’s a joke really what the cap situation looks like.

25% of it is tied up in Suh and Tannehill.
 
Unfortunately I doubt this franchise ever lets Suh walk away or cut him. I think they will get out of Thills contract when they get the chance. Kiko and Branch are bad deals. We just need a front office that builds through the draft and not FA. I am tired of the “winners of FA” all the time because of money thrown around.

I hope our first rounder is James or Edmunds. I think either would be great. Hoops said earlier the top 3 probably go top 50, so we may have to reach here? Goedert or Hurst (pass on gesicki) third round... guard/center or rb maybe. Depends on the board

If we could get a 2nd/3rd round pick from Landry I would probably use it on a guard or maybe DJ Moore.

FA is tricky with the whole Landry thing right now. Would like to see us bring back Parkey also. Avery Williamson would be nice. I don’t see us being big spenders but I would definetly look into cutting Pouncey and adding say- Ryan Jensen.

Otherwise- meh almost all of our FAs are replaceable. Malveaux can take over for Fede’s snaps. Walt Aikens would be okay to bring back as a special teamer
 
Strong pass on Malik Jefferson even at 42. The only backers I'd consider at 11 are Smith and Edmunds. I like Evans a lot too but only in a trade down (he likely doesn't make it out of the bottom of the first round)

I'm with you, just sick of FA and the Dolphins addiction to it. Build through the draft even if it takes a year or two longer and for once just say "NO". FA should be used to put you over the top if you are making a run at a SB, but consistently using it to put together a team has gotten us nowhere and worse put us in salary cap hell, this has been the biggest impediment to the Dolphins besides drafting over the last 10 years.
 
That roster and cap sheet is putrid lol.

The only player on our roster (that's not currently on a cost-controlled rookie deal) that's of good value is Reshad Jones.

Tannehill, Wake, TJ, Quinn and Stills contracts are fine...

if Edmunds is there I think we take him but he will be long gone with how he blew up the combine, he is a special talent.
