WR Rankings
Bess
Camarillo
Hartline
Ginn
Turner

The Good
Bess
Has (had) reliable hands
1st down machine
Perfect for the slot

Camarillo
Makes great catches
Works for what ever he gets
In my eyes the closest thing to a #1 on our roster

Hartline
some what consistent
Hard worker
ST player

Ginn
Speed
Great Returner
Jet Killer

Turner
Potential
Size

The Bad
Bess
Has dropped some easy one
Has put this team in some bad situations this year
Will never be a true #1

Camarillo
Even though I said he was the closest thing to a #1 we had that just goes to show how bad our WR situation is
Can't get open on a consistent bases
Would be great if he was our 4th option at WR

Hartline
This guy is a Camarillo Clone
he is the kinda guy every team wants but not as their starter

Ginn
he is what he is
even though he has speed he is not a deep threat
we cant ask him to go over the middle cause lets be honest it would be a waste of a down
let him return and use him as a 3rd WR (not in the slot)

Turner
I am guessing he has problems getting separation & catching

I know I am in no position to make any roster decision and neither any of you but if you had a chance at trying to fix this mess of a WR core what would you do

my first move would be figure out what you have in Turner

Then figure out who you must get rid of

It will most likely come down to Turner or Ginn

If Turner has nothing then admit you F up and cut your loses

If you can get any trade value for Ginn then let it happen ( I don't care if it is only to move up in the draft a couple spots from where ever we are)

for example

lets say we are in the 1st picking 17th over all and we are trying to move to 14th I would trade Ginn and our 1st for the 14th and maybe a 7th rounder

then I try to fill the spots

I don't see V.Jackson becoming a FA so i would not waste money on anyone in FA WR

So that leads to the draft

last year I was hoping to get Vontae Davis in the 1st but did not think we would be in position to get him so I was willing to settle for Sean Smith in the 1st so draft day I was so happy even though the P.White pick pissed me off

so if it worked once try it again

lets go WR in the 1st like a Dez Bryant

This is the closest thing to a for sure super star at WR since C.Johnson

I really think we have a chance at getting this guy cause when you look at our remaining schedule

Event though I both believe and hope we can get on a role and go 11-5 I know we can just as easily go 6-10 ( putting us in perfect position to snag him)

And if we can find a way to get another 2nd we can go WR again with the later one

like a
Marshawn Gilyard

Dezmon Briscoe

Golden Tate

If you dont like what I have to say then go ahead and let me know what you think we should do

I don't think we'll finish bad enough to get Bryant, he'll be top 10 if not top 5 draft pick. Being from Nebraska in Big 12 country, I will tell you that Dezmon Briscoe is one hell of a wide receiver out of Kansas. That team is down this year, but it's because Reesing can't pull his head out of his *** and the defense is atrocious. Briscoe should be available towards the middle and late 1st round, I believe he'd be a solid pick.

The diffence from this year from last is our WR caught the balls. I dont remember anyone dropping a big catch, that goes for the TE to. This yr its everyone except Cam......the backs, TE, Bess, Ginn, Harline all have dropped big passes late in the game. IDK if this is because they got used to CP10 puff throws or what......IMO we need one veteran WR and a stud TE and the WR positon will be fine. I would have Cam,Bess and veteran WR with Hartline and Ginn backing them up. A very good TE will make those guys bette but the bottom line is they have to catch the ball.

To me the biggest need will be TE and OLB this offseason, we fill those positions with studs and we will compete for the championship.........

Here's what it comes down to........do we take a chance on a high 1st rounder to come in and be an immediate impact, or do we bite the bullet and trade a 1st and a 3rd for a proven receiver? There will not be any FA wr's available.

I dunno???

no offense but bess is not that great this year compared to last year. he killed one drive.

Yeah Bess is starting to aggravate me. He has been dropping everything, never makes a big play and also has he ever had an effective Punt return. Seriously, has he ever done better than an 8 to 10 yard return? We need a re-vamped WR core.

I have been saying for 3 years WR is our weakest position. Until that changes we will not be able to join the elite teams in the NFL.

WR group (hello, Ginn) has cost us at least 2 wins this year, possibly more.

In FA I would sign K.Walters (great hands, excellent route runner) and C.Henry size speed and talent to be a number 1. Henry is stuck behind C.ohchoho and has had zero issues, both receivers would be solid additions without breaking the bank.

One problem. Parcells won't draft a WR in the 1st. He will go LB, FS or NT.
