I think it's safe to say, we've beat 1st rnd over the head, nothing else to talk about there.

Who do you try to target or think well target in the 2nd rnd?

Ronald Darby is one if my favorite players in the draft, not sure where he's projected but I put him as a 2nd rnd pick. Perfect scheme fit, still getting better, athletically, showed the total package at the combine.

Devin Funchess is a guy who in the 2nd rnd I'd have to consider. Now I've been his biggest hater, I hate his Name, hate his stupid legs, hate the way he plays most of the time. But than every once and awhile you see his finesse, and at his size it just blows you away. I'm not really concerned with his 40 time, IMO he is and always will be a slot WR, that's his position.

Denzel Perryman

I could def see him going higher, but being smaller and being labeled a 2 down lb could knock him back. The way he moves around the field, I think there's still upside the coverage department.

Darby is a legit possibility, and Funchess in the 2nd has to be a consideration (need someone for Tannehill to throw to), but Perryman is a 3rd/4th RD player to me. I don't think he has upside in coverage. He cemented what he's shown with his combine performance.

Xavier Cooper is the one guy I see consistently rated in this range that I'd want Miami to land at 47. All Pro upside as a 3-tech, and hes' already a good player. I'd also look to see if guys like Carl Davis are still available.

You might be right on Perryman, I think with a good Dline in front of him he can really thrive. And safety or linebacker I really want a head first downhill player, our defense needs some guys who hit.

Chris Borland was a 3rd rnd pick, and I had him rated as a 2nd rounder. But he def played like a 2nd rnd pick at least. And I think Perryman has more upside in coverage.

Carl Davis doesn't do much for me, but I haven't watched a lot of him. Cooper I haven't watched at all yet, I'll try to get around to it later if I can find anything.

here is my list.

Kendricks if would be there. dont think he will be there. he will go later 1st early 2nd.

Nelson Algalor
Michael Bennett
Bernard Mckinney (I think he may be dropping while Kendricks rises)
Denzel Perryman
Carl Davis
Duke Johnson
Xavier Cooper
Maxx Williams
Rashad Green
Devin Smith
Jalen Collins
and a steal would be Kevin Johnson but I think he goes earlier

Guys I think would fit and have significant PT are

Michael Bennett
Nelson Algalor
Xavier Cooper
Bernard Mckinney (if he truly drops)

FA is huge to me on all this. If we got the ILB from the Jets, it changes my outlook on drafting ILB.

yeah darby too. agreed.

2nd round I am clueless due to the fat I am not sure whom could be there and who could be gone at our pick.... so much talent in many ways can be snagged in that round.

but if Eric Kendricks does fall to us I am definitely getting him there (and we didnt in the first).... Perryman I agree is a 2 down guy, but would love to have his ability for the ILB so i say he is a possability, but not sure he would make it to us either.

guys at DT i like a lot for the 2nd round would be Carl Davis and Xavier Cooper as J-off-her-doll also mentioned above... cheers!!! but not sure if Davis is there either. Hopefully Cooper!!!

CB if Kevin Johnson fell to us, Jalen Collins I would have both definitely as options there... but Steven Nelson is my later round pick I like a lot too, so thats also in my cranium!!!

those are the main guys i'd be looking for... WR i kinda wouldnt want in the 2nd round overly, but the names could be there are solid gets... you all know the names. but i definitely do not want Funchess, Agholor I am not big on either.... there are other talents who offer more of a variety of better abilities on the field then them. Coates (and probably DGB) i also am negative on.

I think you are right on target with Cooper or Davis. I'd love to see one of those guys available for Miami in R2. I also still like Perryman even if the Dolphins are able to get David Harris in free agency.

I don't think Johnson or Collins get out of R1. Every team is looking for size at corner and those two combine it with athletic ability.

Both have great feet and good length. As an athlete Collins reminds me a bit of Aqib Talib. Very smooth.

Johnson is also good in run support, and he can hit.

I think we're more likely to draft either at 14 than 47, but I'd love to be wrong here.

I think darbys a little stiffer in the hips than miami would prefer for the scheme...from what i see at corner nothings changed take ekpre olomu at 47

A couple guys im gonna do homework on charles gaines troy hill and senquez golson...think miamis looking at the latter as a slot...want to see if he tackles

I love that they are making these dbs run the gauntlet...

Yeah, I think the odds are higher that both go top 20 than making it to R2.

Give me Kevin Johnson, the Wake Forest CB, if he's on the board.

If Ekpre Olumo hadn't gotten busted up and was a little taller, I would be with you, but Kevin Johnson is bigger and a true ball hawk.

lol... i loved watching the CBs run the gauntlet actually too. showed some ball skills and hands, but also showed the lack of. I think it was Jefferson??? He probably came out of that drill with football bruises all over his body.

but also check out Steven Nelson more if you havent.... i am loving that kid. 4th round??? maybe... 3 otherwise

Senquez Golston i liked a lot in the combine... was solid on tape too... he just tries to make the big play sometimes too much and gives up plays. gotta play more responsible, but man he has ability!!!

Charles Gaines is just so small... thin, awful against the run game.

what players or things have you liked out of the combine so far?

I think aj cann is someone thats guard only that miami should have in that range...although would be nice if he could play center for that versatility...
