Is Houck a genius or what???? ok, ok, I know it was only one game, and I know we were playing the BROWNcos D-Line....So I guess it's open for debate...

Is our O-Line really coming together??? Or was it just that we were playing a horrible D-Line????

I mean it was surprising to see our O-Line manhandling the blitzes, even when we only had 5 men blocking. We used alot of 3 and 4 WR set and they still managed to pick up the blitzes pretty well....I think Shanarat figured ....'they have one of the worst O-Lines, let's just go in there and blitz the heck out of them' ...and it backfired.

So what do you guys think??? does Houck really have something going here???

I'm as excited as the next guy, but I have to keep this in perspective. The fins did this against what was basicly 3/4 of Clevelands DL from last year. This is not the same line that Denver had last year.

While the players have potential they are not anywhere near elite. That said, our OL did exactly what they were expected to do. They handled their assignments and won the battle in the trenches. I would've expected nothing less in this particular match up.

This week will be a better indicator as to their true makeup. While the Jet's gone trounced yestereday their DL is much better than Denvers..IMO.

Definitely an improvement. Still need to start roadgrading for the running game though, although some of that may have been the 8 in the box effect.

Thrilled with the pass protection and blitz pickups. Still underwhelmed with the run blocking.

Agree, A perfect example of plenty of time was when Mcmichael, fell and got back up and stil got the touchdown. Frerotte had all that time to wait and decide who was getting open. Beautiful. :eek:

Don't forget they have Al Wilson, DJ Williams, and Lynch coming in on blitzes some of the time. This o-line did a great job picking up the blitz and pass blocking. Now let's get Ronnie his 1st 100 yd. game.

And did Vernon Carey look like a 5-7 year vet or what? I knew this guy could play when he was inserted last year at RT in some games but who knows what our coaches were thinking last year. They reminded me of Nero watching Rome burn.

If we want to beat the Jets, this will be the key to the game...The Chiefs manhandled the Jets D-Line and managed to run all over the Jets....this should be key

I think they did very well considering denver brought in 8 most of the time an told us to throw against them. Ronnie never had room to run because of that but I'm hoping that the Jests will respect the pass more and it'll open up opertunity for brown to get moving...
