They both are no good but I think due to the fact that both are equally bad, why not start Feeley. It's always been said all A.J needs is reps and well I think right now he is lost all together along with Gus, then just give him the first crack to see if they can get his potential out of him. If that fails for the first couple weeks then give the reigns to Gus. Don't let this preseason game determine the Qb competition. Let the games b4 this. And I'm jus wondering when A.J will get to play with Chambers again. I noticed that Chambers was much better in the games A.J started last year.

i dunno..... i used to be of that school of thought. but tonight AJ couldn't do it in a meaningless game. If he EVER had a chance to EARN the starting job, tonight was it. instead he blew it. He performed worse than every other QB on the roster.

He hasnt gotten to play wit CC or Booker at all this preseason and him and Boston have played well together. So I'm still confused why he hasn't played with the ones thats what is a fair QB comp.

I hate to put too much on a pre-season game, but I agree AJ really wasted an opportunity tonight. I can't blame Nick if he wants to send a message to the team and he releases AJ.

With the way Sage has played, that's exactly what might happen...but then again, sage has only played 3 ps games.

The game was so horrible i got up and left in the third quarter. I just walked in my door. AJ got booed on every single play eccept the deep pass to DT. he looked horrible and the fans thought he should have been benched way earlier. Sage deserves a shot at #2. Gus had a hard go in the dirt and those guys were all over the place slipping and sliding. Overall a HORRIBLE slow, and boring game the first game I've left early in 4 years :-(

If you use that reason, start sage, he just needs the rep and showed more then both of them!

Get over it!!!!!!!

Can we all finally agree that we should cut our losses with Feeley and set the wuss out to pasture. I'd take Brock back in a heartbeat and cut Feeley. At least Brock has a smidgen of upside!

whoever we start this season

we need to stick it out with one guy ( be it Aj Gus or even Sage )

can't play musical QB

I still think Gus will be the guy who Linehan gameplans around. I dont care what any of you say about Gus. Gus doesnt throw INT's for TD's. Sage may take over at some point. End of story. They gameplanned for this about as much as AJ hit a reciever (for our team).

I just want to say, my friend was over helping me put my flooring in (big dolpins fan) and he has been saying for weeks now that AJ was going to be the surprise cut of camp. I was not that strong in opinion like that. But Dave just may be very very right. He is right about a lot of things and alot of the views I put on this board are driven by some of the things he says.

Have always wanted AJ to do well and be the future, especially considering we gave up a #2. But the guy has always made me nervous. He telegraphs his throws, has no presence or smarts and intangibles required in a QB. The guy is way too content and thats likely why he's never really been a #1. I think I realized this in the Seattle game last year when he brought us back, then threw the pick for a TD at the end. Think its time we cut our losses, go with Gus. Gives us the best chance to win.

If you think about it, Saban has no vested interest in Feeley. He didn't trade for him, he didn't sign him to that extension, and neither did Mueller for that matter. I doubt it happens, but, the possibility is there that Feeley will be gone by week 6. He not only dropped the ball tonight, he gave it to the other team for a TD...AGAIN. The guy just will never be anything but a rollercoaster ride. Sure he will have flashes where he taps his potential, but in the end, he will always drop off the other side of the hill...and fast.

I think you have to go Gus, Sage and then maybe Davey or Brock. I don't know. This was not a good thing to see a week before the season. At least Ricky didn't retire again...

Edit: To cut him now would only cost us 600,000 on the cap this year too...might be money well spent.
