Lets trade for T.E. Greg Olsen

If we could land him our team would have the best passing game in football and would open up the best running game in football !
 
Is he availabe? Why is he available? What is the price? And is there a link to the story?
 
To be fair, there were talks of Olsen being traded during the offseason so it's actually something that's feasable unlike trading for CJ or Peterson.
 
I remember around the draft Olsen was rumored to be available for a 2nd or so. Too bad we already gave up our 2nd rounder for next year.

While it would be great to have a star TE, I think we actually won't need one in this offense. Fasano can actually be quite good, and I think we're going to see him build off his 2008 performance. He's going to get a lot of opportunities with much of the attention focused on Marshall, Bess, and the running backs.

Our problem at TE, if we have one, is with depth. We need a better #2 guy. Haynos is ok, but I don't know if he's good enough. Sperry flashed last season, but it's unclear whether he'll develop. Nalbone is a youngster but he hasn't shown much yet.

The 2nd was spent on a Marshall, whose so desearving of it. Olsen....ehh not so much. I like our TEs, they need less of blocking schemes and Fasano needs to have an 08 flashback.
 
Don't we still have Martin? Is he healthy? He had a pretty good 2008 season and if he can get back to that form should be all the #2 we need.
 
Lets trade for Jesus Christ, or Moses. Moses could part the field and create running and passing lanes for us.
 
lol hes not even an elite TE and acquiring him definitely wouldn't give us the best passing attack in the NFL
 
given we don't have a 2nd round pick next year right now and i don't see them parting with a 3rd rounder and only having 1 pick in the first 3 rounds next year (if the bears would even take a 3rd for him which i kinda doubt) i don't see this happening...

but there's no question this guy could help us down the field and underneath routes in 2 te sets with fasano staying in on pass pro and he can threaten a seam...something we don't currently have at the position...he'd be another solid pass option and weapon...

he'd beat out haynos and sperry in his sleep...
